What are the ways of telling if there is a ground battle going off at present?

Is it still the case that you have to know some dust players and there are some small animations or explosions going off on the planet like it says in the factional warfare wiki?

If there's a district beacon up on the overview, then someone's there and connected.

Otherwise, short of warping to each district and trying to connect... I don't know of a way to check.

Best way to keep informed on DUST matches needing support is through the various in-game channels dedicated to it.
