BUT SRSLY... What kind of articles, features or news would you like to see more of or added?

To be clear, as my original post must've been a bit cryptic, we're talking the monthly EVE Newsletter, not Viking Vixens Quarterly, although I can see how one can easily confuse the two.


If you are still looking for some feedback:

I would like to see some articles regarding w-space. Maybe some statistics of sleeper kills, player ship kills via PVP, ship types etc. Some player written stories could be awesome too.

Another thing for the 100th could be something along the lines of the participation level of the 'New player training' content that you have been doing each month. (This is an amazing thing for you to do by the way. Thank you for this type of support.)

The goings on of the royal upper ups doesn't seem to be flowing with a proper unfolding. It's as though it's stopped. Maybe it got too convoluted, but I enjoyed it. Perhaps picking that up as a feature in a news organ could rejuvenate it as subject matter.

If you want to keep what readership you do have, leave the CSMs out of it.

Stats of stats even.

Nothing to do with individuals or in game entities as it is very off putting (unless you are in that group. Then it's only mildly off putting).

Re the Newsletter - some ministats in there would be awesome. We really don't get enough economic reports. Put some stuff in there we don't already see somewhere in the blogs or on the forums and we'll probably read it. And some pictures of Iceland or something.

Ship fit of the week.

Alternating - sometimes fleet PVP fits, sometimes solo PVP fits, sometimes general PVE fits, sometimes special purpose fits (suicide gank Talos, bumping Stabber, suitcase Archon, anti-Serpentis hard to scan ratting Ishtar, etc).

Yeah some stats on things would be good. Could maybe break it down into each type of space with some sort of a table with a few things like avg number of pilots and corps, avg number of kills (ship and pod), avg npc kills (with ship type), average age of pilot, as well as other info on in game variables like POS's, minerals mined, siphon units etc. As others have mentioned maybe something where is EVE going and what has been accomplished to date in regards to that vision from the company. Something on the new player training and any future advancements on that.

I'd like to see the existing ones first. I used to be subscribed to a monthly newsletter, but then it just stopped coming. Haven't seen one for ages. Googling "eve online monthly newsletter" doesn't get me anywhere, and I can't see a link on the site anywhere to subscribe to this newsletter.

The last one I received was Aug 2011, vol.65 - clicking any of the links in it take me to an anti-spam page - http://links.mail.eveonline.com/. Clicking "View this message in a browser" just takes me to the main http://www.eveonline.com/ website.

I'm subbed to the normal news and devblogs RSS feeds from here http://community.eveonline.com/news/rss-feeds/, but others in that link haven't been updated in months.

Where is the subscription link to it?


Edit: Some stats would be good - perhaps a consistent one each month so we can see trends (or a year-by-year summary), but also a random "interesting" stat the players often don't see. Surprise us.
