Specialized damage modules

This might have been spammed here already, but my corpies and I think it would be awesome to have specialized damage mods.
For instance Gyrostabilizer T2 gives you +10% damage and -10,5% RoF.
Two new modules: One that gives you +15% damage and -5% RoF, and another +5% damage and -15% RoF.
Numbers could be adjusted better.

The same could be done with other modules.

There is also a thingy in the market for every module - some haz green and some haz blue icons on them.

Those are what you were looking for.

I'll give you a more serious answer.

Giving modules with smaller specific bonuses are not ideal. Mostly because of how stacking penaties work.

Either way you will be obsoleting a group of modules because 99% of the player base will use the most efficient modules.

why would anyoen EVER equip soemthing with 5% damage for minus 15% ROF? thats a huge net loss in DPS, especially for anything not focused on alpha damage.

and something that icreases damage by more than it reduces ROF to any degree would be vastly overpowered on amarr ships, allowing them to circumvent broken laser mechanics to have massive cap power.

also, as soemone else already said, rigs, and we already have specialized damage mods, mods tailored to each race's weapon systems.

I think he wants the -15% RoF to be a damage buff, not a nerf.

that be the problem...you need to know the numbers before making the idea.

Alpha doctrine already has it tweaks and does not need the help.

And in here is the guidance, albeit not candy coated, that ROF is also an important factor to damage output. Study its affects, it will serve you well.

If only in the case one day when ccp maybe changes your fave ship's bonus from 5% damage to 5% rof you don't post the ccp nerfed my ride thread. It will not go well for you. As in the math 5% ROF can work out better.
