Greetings.

This is an open letter to all of New Eden, a request for assistance.

No, no, im not asking for charity or help to kill someone, my request is on a more scientific, technological basis.

Im looking for any capsuleers with any knowledge in the following fields:

Nanites, nanomachines and robotics
Terraforming
Basic construction and development of planetary colonies
Starbase construction and deployment
Ship repair systems (specifically armor and hull)
Antimatter, Graviton, Fusion and Nuclear reactors
Drone construction and programming
Harvesting and mining equipment
Starship control systems
Shielding

Please contact me via Mail if you have any knowledge in these fields, i would like to discuss a rather unusual new project.

How much are you willing to spend on this venture? Failing that, what is your projected profit and what percentage are you offering, with what securities?

I have the personnel, expertise and equipment, but I need a bit more incentive than 15 minutes of dubious 'fame' or some pity party charity project like the now-defunct Arek'Jalaan.

Aelisha youre missing the point.

At this very moment the project is only a pipedream. Im calling on these experts to see if its actually possible to formulate the idea i have in mind.

If i can provide some accurate projections as to its intended outcome, THEN i'll consider its potential costs.

And its not just a pointless charity, if it does what i hope it can do, the Empires will pay through their ears to get thier hands on the tech.

AND lets not forget, humans have a way of turning almost anything into a weapon. If the project fails in its intended task, it can be reconfigured and sold as a weapon.

As far as i can tell its a win-win.

The only thing i need is the expert opinions and research to see if it can be done.

As to details? i'll be more than happy to tell you if we can talk on the subject. all you need to know for now, is IF it works, New Eden will be forever changed.

I'm pretty sure I'm not missing the point. Even blue sky thinking requires remuneration, when that time could be better spent elsewhere. Then again, with the likes of Ber Kan throwing themselves at your project, I wish you the very best of luck. You're going to need it.

Furthermore I like substance, not prose. Don't try that 'all you need to know' line ever again. All I need to know is the details, the requirements and how much is on the table. THAT is project management and presentation 101. Anything less is exactly how I described in my first reply.

Well you clearly have an idea of what you want to achieve, and are approaching people publicly for help in making it a reality. I applaud that. But being cryptic is gonig to make people more dubious that interested.

I understand you can't give the game away to people who aren't going to contribute, but filling us in on at least the broadest details (for example, the field of research and the potential application, without disclosure of sub-components or contributory work) would sweeten the pot and give people grounds on which to decide if it is worth their while.

Apologies if I came across as needlessly dismissive, but one only has to look at the Market Discussion section to see the legacy of broken projects built on spurious statements of 'changing the world', followed by zero planning and/or execution. Your offering may have more to it than that, but I honestly could never have known from the proposal itself.

I wish you the best of luck and would welcome the chance to talk, casually and non-committally, when I am back in pod.

Right, after various discussions i have to clarify.

the details and information to be discussed will be to see if the project is actually viable first.

then we'll weigh the data with current market costs and stuff like that.

pay attention!

IF i cannot front the cash for the full project, i am after all still new, i'll file it and save it for a day when i CAN afford it.

Those who assist with thier expert opinion WILL BE PAID ACCORDINGLY FOR THIER TIME with what i can spare at the conclusion of the meeting.

if the project is filed, people are paid, case closed. if i can afford it, or recieve investors to fund it, we'll sort out the costs directly.
