As the title says im not able to join Eve voice.
I have already looked in the game settings nothing can be changed there.
I have also looked in the firewall settings all looks fine.

The problem however probably is in the modem which reguires a setting to be changed which i dont have acces to.
The ISP is KPN and going by this topic http://www.eve-search.com/thread/1569694 im not the only one with this problem.

Now my question is that after all the time Eve voice is in the game has anyone with this ISP or similar found a way to resolve this issue ?

Apart from changing ISP ofc.

So by the lack of reply from either ccp and/or other people who play this game i must assume that there is no way to fix this bug in the eve voice client.

No, you don't have to do any port forwarding, so I'd look somewhere else for the issue. I don't have any ports open (for security reasons) other than HTTP and some game ports. I never forwarded any port for EVE and EVE Voice works fine. However, how do you try to join EVE Voice? They removed the classic menu entry from the fleet chat's tab. Try to right click the speakers in the top right corner of the fleet window.

I did not say portforwarding.
The thing that has to be changed is SIP ALG.
This setting i dont have acces to in my modem probably because it also handle the telephone over the modem.

Also there is nothing in the game that i can change that would make this work.

It has been almost a week now and still no helpfull replies.
Not being able to join evevoice seriously limits your options in eve since most incursions use evevoice.

The modem that I have is a thomson TG789VN.

Bump.

I have this problem as well (I'm in the US with a different ISP so I don't think that's the problem). I have cleared cache and settings and tried on several different accounts. The only voice related options I can see are "Enable EVE Voice" (which is checked) and the mute sounds when speaking options. The channel specific options won't load and I can't join channels via either the fleet window or the channel tabs. Worked fine before crucible patch. I've run the repair tool and done everything else I can think of (shut down firewall, etc.). Vent, TS3, Skype, and Steam audio work fine. My next option would be to reinstall EVE and I really don't want to do that.

same here, being refused groups because of not being able to join eve voice.

i can see the client trying to connect to 70.42.62.151 (vivox server what i assume to be eve voice) and never gets an answer. slight packetloss and tracing the route to the server shows that the route changes every second at the 5th hop, my isp zen internet didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with that.

in the process of downloading the whole eve client at the moment in case something got broken during the patching, eve repair didn't pick anything up as needing repair.

checked router settings and tried 2 different netgear routers.

cant get onto sisi (patching fails) to see if the problem is on there (that folder) as well.

using on board sound HD realtek audio.

under the three checkboxes for joining eve voice/mutesounds where the echo test bar was i have this typed there.

"These settings are channel specific, as such they require a character to be logged in with EVE Voice enabled. If you are logged in and have EVE Voice enabled there may be some connection issue, please contact customer support (via petition) if this problem persists."

that sentence and how it's worded suggests to me that ccp know theres an issue on their side.

waiting 10 days for an answer? i thought having a ticket open for 6 hours and not being looked at was bloody disgusting customer service to be honest. daisai please confirm for me you've had a ticket open for 10 days+.

My Eve Voice worked until Crucible. Now nothing.
I have sent a petition, but I doubt anything will come of it.

I knew this is where this would lead (I've had the problem once before) but IMHO this shouldn't be the only solution, especially with a game that has a repair tool distributed with it.

agreed, i was thinking about it later - there's probably a file/s you can delete forcing the repair tool to download from new, i bet someone from ccp could tell you.

as i said before a total pita for people who are on capped download limits/slow connections. i'm glad it's the start of the month as if this had happened half way/threquarters through the month i would not have had any bandwith available for downloading.

i'm now going to keep a seperate clean eve backup copy for fast reinstalls, just in case this bug pops up again soon. probably worth doing before every big patch tbh Blink

yeah someone somewhere needs to look into that. there doesnt seem to be a queue system in place for petitions (at least one that gm's can't skip) and the op having a ticket open and being ignored for10 days (i'm assuming though from what i read in the help channel it's not unusual), that's just funny beyond belief to be honest. and they want people to recomend others to join the game, hmmm na not going to happen.
