Hey Guys,

I've been Googling around to see if I could find it, but haven't had much luck. Here's what I'm trying to do.

I've got any player owned ships, structures, cans, drones, etc, colored to what I want, but I've been trying to get non-player owned objects to be the same way.

i.e.

ImgUR - Example 1

Is it possible to change it?

Isn't this technically a violation of the EULA?

I think the two posts above assumed that by "modifications" you are referring to using non-CCP provided methods to modify the in-game look.

That is against the EULA.

However, if you are asking if there is any setting in game to help you with this, no is the basic answer as far as I'm aware.

Thought as much. I was thinking about it. If changing colors is illegal, then why is there a post on the EVE forums with tutorials on HOW to change the colors?

All the tutorials I've read have only unvolved using the in game settings and options.

If you've read others that use other methods, then using those would most likely be against the EULA

Theres one on there, that shows you how to change the colors of the Ship Name, Alliance, etc.. There have been a few CCP members who have also commented in it. Honestly, I don't see how CCP would consider this a bad thing. I think being able to customize your UI is a beneficial thing to a player. I mean, if you look at WoW (God forbid), you can Customize it massively. Wouldn't mind it to be 1/4 of that.

You will get IP banned for modifying the client.

Look Here <--

They are called overview packs. I don't know what that one is specifically though. They are widely used among the larger organizations in Eve, and CCP knows that many players use them. No it isn't an exploit and CCP has said that they are safe to use because they just modify some files to change text coloring and don't add any new files or information to the game.

Shame on you GD. I know you guys are a bunch of trolls but you cant troll a person if you have your own information correct!

One cannot "look at WoW".

It's not their fault that they are clueless.

Oh well, it is.

But they didn't know better and looking it up makes no sense when you assume you're right.

Which one shouldn't.

But they do.

What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh?

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."
