For escalations... got it np. but PvP confuses me.

Seems 99% of pvp with caps goes one of two ways.

1. you get called an ******* for blobing with a cap. and the enemy fleet fucks off.
2. the enemy fleet comes comes in ejaculating and 3 handing their cocks to neut u to death. with 420 bhaalgorns and 420 neut legions. and being apart of this for the last few months, it seems really easy to do.

so why.... the ****.... does anyone want to fly a cap?
---
a less vulgar question is how can an archon pilot prevent this death by neuts? because when u go triage you are on ur fuckin own.

we have all seen the RnK cross fitting video, but is that really it!? maybe have a subnet of guardians??? I feel like caps are death insurance!

Don't fly them then but shoot at every single one you see if they are going to die anyway.

Let us know how it goes

Dreads + Support Fleet VS T3s

If the T3s can kill the webbing ships, you will probably lose all your caps.
If the carriers can keep the webbing ships alive, the T3s will be forced to retreat, if they can.

Double ECCM rapiers with an archon + a few dreads is pretty much an easy win vs T3s, you'd need your own dreads to fight it.

Question 1: its fun

Question 2: If you do get blobbed by 420 bhaalgorns and 420 neut legions you're pretty much done. Even a few of them can really mess you up. Basically IF you have multiple archons on field AND get neuted out, you need to refit full passive tank, coast out of triage, and hope that you can get out of triage and repped by the other archon before you die. If you're by yourself/out of refit range and get neuted out, hope the enemy are bad enough to not kill your mobile depot (protip: they aren't bad enough to not kill your mobile depott) and I guess try to refit cap boosters or something and try and get a few rep cycles in to last as long as you can before you die.

The RnK video is only a thing because they were fighting guys who didn't bring any neuts/brought barely any and didn't drop multiple dreads on them. It's pretty damn unlikely that you get into a wormhole fight involving caps without either neuts or dreads.

Also I am bad and probably got all of this wrong.

Caps are generally used at the start of a sentence, alternate uses include rage posting in all caps.

Studies have linked use of the shift key to a increase in frequency of capital class letters.

Biggest thing is knowing when and how to use them. A pair of triage archons in a lot of cases can replace a guardian wing and free them up for DPS. You better bring a dread or two for stand by because if they drop dreads on you archons there going to be hurting.

Dead caps are fun, hence the neuts.

You can prevent neuts by having a dread on field with you blapping their neut boats. It's all about fleet comp. Bring the right ships with your archon, and you'll have a nice day.

Its all very very situational and waay beyond the scope of a forum thread really.

Though "Bring the right ships with your archon, and you'll have a nice day" goes a long way to encompassing a large part of it.

The thing with caps is that they aren't a 'I win' button. They are just ships like any other with strengths and weaknesses.

Dreads are designed to shoot big things and have trouble hitting small targets. Carriers are designed for logistical support. Supper carriers and titans are designed for DPS and utility, etc.

All ships, (caps and sub-caps) are pretty much dependent on capacitor to do things. Take away that power and they become floating bricks of metal.

Some ships are less dependent on capacitor than others Nag and phonix Vs moros and rev. This is why capital ships are attacked with neuting ships- it's the best option.

To combat this, you can try refitting- timing your triage (like RnK), bringing your own neuting ships with you, etc, etc.

A ship is only as strong as your team- mates and your tactics.

Hey Tim, thanks for your interest.

Most important regarding dreadnoughts:
There is one guy sitting in it. He's got 11k dps along. So you can either field 15 proteus, or alternatively one nag and two dualplated webbing vigilants. Especially if you find yourself outnumbered, this can be quite a combobreaker (normally those prots will just murder the vigis though).

Also, if you're in a nag and they bring a bhaalgorn, then they either got a lot more up their sleeve or wait for faction drops.
