DC + Offline Mode

Since yesterday I'm getting a lot of DCs + a launcher executable that either hangs when I try to close it or says:

OFFLINE MODE
You are seeing this because no connection could be made to the content server or something went wrong while loading the online content.
...
Tranquility server: Status unknown

Internet is functioning normally otherwise and no other application seems affected.

My ship has, in each case, been taken to a safe 1M km away, so I haven't lost anything, but I'm afraid I might if this goes on.

Has anyone else experienced the same?


I have a Steam account, so it might be Steam related.

I had a similar symptoms a few days ago. (No DC, but others the same) Normal internet access was fine to various locations / services; but the EVE Launcher was dead in the water. I worked around it by running exefile.exe and that connected just fine and I was able to play, etc. although both forums and game showed some latency. Nothing too dreadful though and it cleared up after a few hours.

I suspect somehow, somewhere a rat gnawed a cable or something.

Similar issue resolved.

Launcher unable to connect.
Executable refused to connect.
Unable to connect to Eve forums/community/gate/etc.
Not a Steam account.

In addition, corp TS was unavailable. Which is odd, and possibly unrelated.

All other interwebs were functioning normally, including being able to RDP into a computer at work. Just the recently visited/active sites/eve affected.

Reset router and issue went away.

Corp mate had same problem. He reset his router and profit.
