Noticing the random chatter in inappropriate chats (Ex. Recruitment), I decided to create a chat channel strictly for that purpose. Somewhere everyone can go, no matter their alliance/corp affiliation, and be among friends.

We aren't a corp. We have no affiliation. There is never an obligation. Come ask questions, ask for help, ask for company while mining/missioning/etc. The point is to build a larger community that transcends the boundaries of corporations.

Join chat channel: "The Crazyhouse"

There is no risk. Give it a chance, because we're too much fun to pass by! Ask the 100+ members who have already been in so far!

Really interesting!

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

You're just biased.

Good intention, pointless execution.

The random chatter there is as necessary as everywhere else.
Posting this on the forums will not bring you people from other chats.

Ask yourself this and learn something:

Why would anybody want to go to your chatroom,
when the people who they talk to all are elsewhere?

For the answer, you have to avoid the reasons why you created the chatroom.

I'm interested what you come up with.

First off, wow that's amazing face, the green and bright orange/brown is an incredible combination.

Secondly, it appears "Help Chat - Reloaded" has some competition :P

Though as our name implies we're primarily help based, offering a help chat that isn't nearly as fast moving as the main help chats as well as providing a community hub for people to make friends instead of just getting an answer and leaving.

So far we host community mining ops every weekend. We also allow for any topics (aside from the controversial that tend to start arguments) and as result it can get a bit crazy in there xD

Thanks for the honey.

You have mining ops. That's nice.
When I visit your chatroom and find out that you ruin new players with carebearism...

What will happen?

I read the OP earlier and thought that "Somewhere everyone can go, no matter their alliance/corp affiliation, and be among friends." was here - the forum.

Then I reread it and thought maybe it should be cut slightly shorter to "Somewhere everyone can go, no matter their alliance/corp affiliation,"

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're short on your dough.
You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find

No, it's not. They actually run mining ops and pay off. Unless you mean that they instigate new players to stay in HS, which is not the case.

I think she just means we're enablers xD

Which as of now, would be true. But we only been doing these ops for a few weekends now. We're making sure we work out the kinks and so far have had a decent turn out each time.

As we progress we'll try doing T1 frigate and cruisers roam ops which should hopefully give people a chance to kill something.

I hang out there a bit, it's not a bad channel overall really.

I dunno about ruining newbies with carebearism though, although I totally get where that perception might come from. I think many of us can relate to starting our EVE careers with the basics such as mining. It seems only natural then that industry-related topics/questions will be the main things discussed in a help channel catering for the newer guys.

It's a bad start.
People start with playing solo and afk.
They make no money worth speaking off.
They don't actually learn the game.

When you say many can relate to such a start, it shows the problem.

I already have a personal channel for players that I know, IRL..... the MOTD says: "This be a den of iniquity. Swearing, nudity, and drunkenness are not only allowed, but encouraged. Take all fights outside. Smoking allowed."
