Greets!

How can I know in advance if I will be denied docking at a station?

(I am Minmatarian, and I am going into Minmatar space. - G-0Q86)

Thanks!

What are your standings like? Generally you can always dock in NPC null unless your standings are really terrible with the owner.

Just from the name of the system it is not Minmatar space, it is Null sec. Null sec systems have random alphanumeric names, with only one system exception.

Null sec is mostly NBSI (not blue shoot it) and entry is denied to outposts to non-blues. So you look at the alliance that owns the outpost and if you are not blue, then you can't get in.

Providence is rare in that it accepts neutrals and allows neutrals to dock at outposts.

Basically, best practice is to assume that any null sec outpost will deny your docking request. Only accept contracts for outposts you have access to.

ahh, that is NPC null. Angel Cartel. You'll need decent standing with this rat corporation to get in.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Anyone can dock in any NPC station regardless of where it is (exception: you have joined Faction Warfare and your enemies own the low-sec system)... you merely need good standings to access anything beyond level 1 missions in them.

The rest of what Iria said is true though... you generally cannot dock in player owned stations in null-sec unless they know and trust you.

Thank you SF.

Never been to NPC null, guess I should give it a go sometime.

Do try. Though... I would suggest a fast aligning interceptor or nullified-cloaking T3 for your first trip out there. The "locals" out there will pull all the tricks out to make you feel very... welcome.

Basically... think low-sec, but with bubbles and more paranoia.

Remember that having the weapons flag up will also cause docking requests to bounce, even from NPC stations.

Only for 60 seconds, but usually when I get a docking rejection it's that rather than the longer-term mistake of trying to dock at a player-managed station.

Didn't see anyone mention this -

All starbase stations, whether NPC or Player controlled, will be listed in the Star Map. Just open up info on the station in question and check the Alliance info before traveling there.

If it's controlled by NPC Alliance, you can dock in it. If not, then you'll need permission from the Player Alliance controlling it.

OK, so i need to look on the star map to see if G-0Q86 is NPC or player-owned, and if player-owned, if our alliances have positive standings with each other.

Also - perhaps I should not buy from that station, it is deep in nul and while I am comfortable enough in my Jaguar, it does not haul enough cargo to pick up what I want.

So... any guesses as to what it would cost to pay someone to haul from there through 13 hops of null and 13 hops otherwise to Hek?

PS
Thanks for all the well-informed answers!

Red Frog has a web site which allows you to calc what they charge. The nullsec corp is black frog I think.
They do not service stations they cannot doc at. But the price will give you an idea....

G "tack" 0Q8 is in NPC Curse.

You will be denied docking if you have a weapons flag. The flag lasts 1 minute unless refreshed.

Thanks!
2 questions, then:
When I go there, or Black Frog, and put in G-0Q86 as my start, I get, "not found. "
The star map says it's Archangels Logistic Support, so I assume that that is NPC?

Shows as 150 million ISK from G-0Q86 to Hek, up to 1 billion ISK in value and 320,000 m3.

Yes.

Look at the DOTLAN link I have above. It is "Angel Cartel".

Can I dock in hisec (0.5-1.0 security)? Yes.

Can I dock in lowsec (0.1-0.4 security)? Yes, except if it's a faction warfare system, you're enlisted in faction warfare, and the enemy owns the system.

Can I dock in nullsec?

If you are in the regions of Curse, Great Wildlands, Outer Ring, Stain, Syndicate, Venal, or a few systems in Fountain (owned by Serpentis), a couple systems in Geminate (owned by the Society of Conscious Thought), or a few systems in Pure Blind (owned by the Sisters of Eve)... yes.

Otherwise, the space is player-claimable, which normally results in stations that are closed to everyone except a select whitelist of friendlies.

G-0Q86 is in the Curse region, which I mentioned above is free-dock, so yes, you can dock there. You might want to double check Black Frog's site, because I tried inputting it and it was definitely found. Make sure you input the right 0. It's 0 as in "zero", not as in O, the letter that comes after N.

"Docking Request - denied" can also mean you play too much EVE so your spouse has a "headache" Blink

lmfao! ShockedBig smile

... and thanks again to all for posting!
Gave up on Black Frog as the profit margin evaporates at that price - am buying 1 small ship, not selling there. If I make the trip on my own, will post the adventure for all to enjoy!
