Hi there,

Eve runs with low reaction, every click is laggy. Nearly unplayable.

Suse 13.1
Geforce GT610 ( Repository, then hard way)
Wine 1.7.2

Warum vertragen wir uns nicht alle?

Wir könnten statt Low bis Large Scale PvP - einfach meditieren!!!

This is the proprietary nVidia driver, right? Has it worked before?

You can try to turn off desktop compositing, butI think your graphics card may just be too weak. Even though Eve works fairly well under wine, there definitely is a performance drop compared to Windows. It's not very noticeable on a fast system, but the slower your computer is, the more you will feel it.

run glxinfo and check that direct rendering is enabled. If not wine is running without your gfx card.

Are you sure your using the nvidia driver and not the nouveau driver. I know the packaging is different in Suse but try upgrade to the latest nvidia driver for your card as I used in in this link. I noticed a serious performance gain in X using the correct driver though.
