I know some people were looking for a black version of the CSM logo, for sites with white backgrounds, so here you go: http://content.eveonline.com/www/newssystem/media/65974/1/CSM_Black.png

If you think the CSM has no value except as a free ride to Iceland, you are wrong. If you think the CSM are only pushing changes in favor of null-security cartels, voice your opinion and vote for someone you feel represents you to your best interest.

Is Dinsdale writing devblogs for CCP now?

This post was crafted by the wormhole expert of the Goonswarm Economic Warfare Cabal, the foremost authority on Eve: Online economics and gameplay.

No. They don't let Ytterbium write devblogs anymore.

Nah, your sources are wrong. But I am glad they didn't tell you that we know how to open the door in Captains Quarters

more shill to make people think their vote matters. It does not. CSM works for the CSM, and their in-game benefit. But then again, so does CCP. If you're not in a nullbear block, your chances of getting someone who even remotely begins to represent you is a once in a lifetime. Literally. That's as many times as it's happened for anybody who's not a nullbear. go nullsec or gtfo. What a waste.

I see the tremendous amount of work they put in every week, and I get to see all their successes and triumphs (as well as the occasional slip-up), and I am constantly in awe of it. CSM8 has been the most active CSM on record, easily doubling participation rates of the past CSM I worked with.

Thank you.

Life is short. Have fun.

this thread is lol,

any real impact is NDA, and there's not much else,
lovely minutes are reported but valid player concerns in the correct threads are ignored by ccp devs, and in general not responded to in the correct thread by csm. (yes i know many csm like to get in on the first page writing "first" but masturbation in public is meh?)

bang up jobs.

The main problem is that CSM arent allowed to talk about it, and devs just arent talking about it.

The fact that you (CCP DEVS) feel the need to write a blog about how they (CSM) are not useless as they (CSM) seem says volumes about their lack of impact in the official forums.
but then there have been a great many threads like this one, and a great may threads where there isnt any blue past the first five pages, mostly self congratulatory. whoopie.

I know that CSM members do a lot of work, I read the minutes when they come out, but theres is a particularly big gap between the forum presence that they should have, and the presences that they do have. CSM should have more information available to disseminate, and CCP needs to respond more on the forums, or have the csm do it. but lacking any real conviction or power when it comes to things like the ought-to-have-been-abortion-of-a-ship-painting-program to the really bad way you (CCP) have ignored the pos issues and lowsec revitalization crap you used to talk about, what power does CSM have again?

oh right, thats NDA.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

Not all of us live on the forums but a few of us do. The last thing you would want is 'yeah, what he/she said' being posted. So you have myself and Malcanis who regularly work the forum route.

Yes, we are NDA's and no, we are not the conduit for new concept or features release. I am fairly sure CCP has a PR department for that purpose. So we have been communicating, just not saying the things you want to hear. You have Ali on the Podcast 'Declarations of War'. Myself as a regular on the podcast "Podside'. There is the central collection of our blogs on csm8.org

As to the last question. What power do we have? Only that which CCP gives us or we earn. CSM8 has gone a long way to earning the more connections, more of a mandate from the population that we represent.

And we try, gods we try. But POS's are not a little thing. We know they need fixed, THEY know they need fixed but knowing does not mean that one sprint and they are magically all better. Sove, you didn't mention that but the same applies. You did mention lowsec. Bud sadly CSM8 lacked a dedicated lowsec representative. If that is important to you then I hope you have voted for people like Sugar Kyle or DJfunkybacon so CSM9 is represented in the way that you would like it to be..

I wouldn't mind a vote tossed my way as well.

Actually i did vote for you Mike, and i see you occasionally on the Live events channel, I know you exist ingame
what i dont see is CSM interacting with players on the forums. having your own blog is great, but the ideas and features of EVE are discussed on the forums of eve. It matters less to me that you agree/disagree with what i say, then it matters that you say it on the eve forum in the thread that is devoted to it by the devs.

I would prefer if more of you lived at least partially on the forums, but the majority of the csm seem to only post around election time.
The main thrust of my post before was that there doesn't seem to be a real presence of CSM on the forums where i believe that they should have the majority of their presence. The majority of the CSM does not seem to be responding to player concerns where the players are voicing their concerns and as such a lot of your work is invisible to the eve forum reader.

I never expected you guys to be able to wave your hands and have magic fixes, but it doesn't even seem to have a lot of even hand waving happening .
I understand that its mostly my impression of what you guys do, but i read some of the eve forums, i don't track down people who dont post to read their blogs or listen to their podcasts when they are effectively invisible where it matters.

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.
