L4 Speed - Golem vs Paladin - Caldari Space

I'm currently stuck in Caldari space until I can faction grind Ammar rep. I can fly both ships nearly perfectly (missing weapon spec V for both cruise and pulse). I'm trying to figure out if dealing with the pain that is volley counting + TP management + frigate ammo switching is worth the speed increase of damage selection.

The way I typically handle gurista missions in the Paladin is to MJD out and blap all the frigs and cruisers quickly (including all mission triggers) with scorch, then MJD back into the fur ball and melt the BCs and BSs with conflag. This also gives me a nice opportunity to do some selective loot/salvage as I'm cleaning up the big boys.

With the missile boat, I jump out and burn down everything except frigs then switch to precision ammo and knock down the smaller craft. This cycle typically has to repeat as the frigs are usually the trigger ships. It also doesn't offer much ability to do loot/salvage on the go.

Any suggestions on which ends up being more effective?

A Pith Eliminator (Guristas battleship) has
* an EHP of 47,058 versus EM,
* an EHP of 24,393 versus Kinetic

Any other questions?

This question its not hard

Kronos -------> gallente/caldari/gurista/serpentis space

Paladin --------> amarr/blod raiders/sansha/drone space

Vargur/golem for evrithing else and all above

Personaly ill stick to golem

Kill frigs with drones not with amo and you will be fast doing misions

Paladin is far from Bad but for caldari space you have better options.

yes ichorya in black-rise is largely blood-raiders, sansha, mercs,drones...pretty much everything comes up more than actual guristas missions. plus it has 2 lv4 agents in the same station

How exactly do you choose who you gonna be fighting against when doing mission ? With plexing/doing anomalies in 0.0 it's quite easy, you can choose pirates just by going to their territory (gurista up north for example). But with missions you just get all of them no ? For example I use agent in Irjunen, which is Caldari space, but I fight against Gur/Angel/Blood raiders/Drones/Gallente... Only way I see is declining missions you don't like.

Buy both. Fly the right ship for the right job.

I'll admit I haven't flown my Golem since Rubicon hit as I had converted over to the Paladin (most of my missions have been Laser friendly). Re-tooled it and took it out for GurExtrav and actually had FUN. The change to TP cycle time made a huge difference. That paired with a MTU allowed for effortless salvage. I still use the MJD to triangulate the gates as I'm not a fan of slowboating.
