At the very least, I would've given him back a third of his stuff back, given him a lecture, and offered him an actual position. But I guess when you're a barrel-trousered Dodixie-camping pauper, you grab whatever you can get, right?

+1 like you - couldn't have said it any better

I too particularly liked the barrel-trousered. Such finesse' is hard to come by.

By posting this story you have made it less likely that you can run the con again.

You have also tarnished the name of your corp along with the names of the corp members who posted in the thread.

You may come to regret your pointless boasting.

Would I feel the urge to steal his ship in the same situation? Likely, probably wouldn't do it though, but can't judge you on that.

Can I ever understand every stupid move he made? No... not any of them. The moment you learn, usually when you are a young player, that CCP allows scams, you should have your eye out, always.

I want badly to feel sorry for the guy, because I know how much it sucks to lose something expensive, especially when someone else has it - so much worse than just getting it blown up - but I can't. That was just... too stupid.

How cute, maybe some day you will take things to the next level and start meta-trolling like you're ambiguously gendered pale Xenuria.

Moot point.

Most capsuleers don't peruse the forums.

Not a con either - more of a sinister ruse.

OP and his henchmen will have no regrets about being painted as villians by your judgemental brush.

And thus we damned our souls.

When a young confident but hopelessly naive pilot asked to join our ranks, boasting of his 3.5bil Golem, we accepted him gladly into our bosom, and invited him to join us in a good old level 4 mission.
he promptly came out, and rushed to our side, where we hastily granted him the role of starbase equiptment manager (accident insurance) and proceeded to relieve him of his Golem by means of forced ejection and pod destruction.
revelling in the spoils of our skullduggery, the young member seemed to be taking things rather well. He asked if this could serve as his trial for joining the corp.

seeing possibility for further skullduggery but not quite being in the mood to relieve him of his caracal, we told him his golem had been jump freightered into our nullsec POS, located in Russian Sov Nullsec.

The young trusting trooper proceeds to make his way deep into the heart of nullsec with his trusty caracal, whilst we flaunt his mighty golem back in the comfy realms of Dodixie.

Upon arrival in said 0.0 system (which we did NOT expect), we mentioned that he should launch his probes to find our Wormhole.
"you did bring probes right?"

So our little trooper goes the 25 jumps back to highsec, to pickup a probe capable ship, and proceeds to make the entire journey all over again. Although dying this time.

But oh no, our man is determined to see his golem again! he attempts the voyage a third time, this time making it back to nullsec with a prober and an Iron Will of determination. He probes every signature in the system and finally, finds his prize, the wormhole.

...which happens to be a highsec bridge that takes him to within 4 jumps of Dodixie.

.....At which point his 24 hours of Starbase equiptment manager is up, and we promptly remove him from our corp and wish him on his merry way.

On reflection, I almost feel bad for him. But then I remember this is Eve, and say Time well spent.

See you all in hell. Cool

Confirming my point that Nova is full of craptastic capsuleers. Leave Dodixie one day and you'll quickly discover that your entire corporate is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Granted this kid was short on brains but the sheer dedication he showed should've counted for something.

What goes around comes around. I wouldn't be surprised if in a year or two this kid returns and folds you over a table like one would with a common street walker. Revenge in Eve is the best kind of revenge. =)

Good for him then if he does. Common sense and logical thought processes are a million times more important than loyalty in this game. If he was that easily convinced of something, knew so little about the game that he thought they'd give him back his Golem, knew so little that he took a Caracal into null sec, then he wasn't worth anything as a pilot. Maybe that will change, if it does, good for him. At the moment, he is a liability.

Also, newsflash: no corp is significant in the grand scheme of things, EVE is a video game.

You will be put into one of the rated rooms in hell, and you will never see another human being.

If the poor kid had a friend, you'd be given a friend down there. One of the Demons will agree with you that it's harsh, but hey, it's hell what did you expect.

Btw., are you doing this to every player, who is interested in joining your corp or only when you are bored?

I mean, sure it´s part of the game to steal from other players, don´t have a problem with that, but in this case you throw a bad light at yourself and your corp ...

THIS IS WHAT I ******* SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I told you I wasn't crazy on this one, Axel...!

I know, I just like being a bastard every once in a while. Big smile

Don't dilly-dally now, son - it's not just once in a while, is it? That's the cut of you - it's what you are. It's in you. Are you ashamed of that or proud of it?

Another thread had a great quote from a Goon saying Miners were the lowest form of pond scum - I laughed hard, what with that coming from a Goon (the irony still makes me chuckle), but really he clarified the point for me, which is that "griefers are the lowest form of pond scum."

It makes me smile when griefers try to justify their **** in all sorts of different ways, but, like I said, when alls said and done, it's really just what you are..

Am I trolling? Maybe a little, but ultimately I've just taken off my glove and back-handed you with it. I belong to a 3 man-band who must surely be an easy target for griefers (cheap as chips to war dec). You know you've just got to pod my "holier-than-thou" arse into oblivion!

Come get some.

P.S. I might shoot back a little bit so it's not necessarily a clear-cut call, for one of your kind.

Just goes to show that when every last human on earth is gasping for their last breath of air that just so happens to be lit on fire as they breathe that there will be no remorse when you are all extinct because every single last human being in existence is a p.o.s and worthless, vile, disgusting, soul-less robotic sandbags of wasted flesh, bone marrow, oxygen, blood, and carbon.
