Dropping this mail as I went looking for eve specific advice but could not find any before building a new PC.

I’ve not used integrated graphics since the 1990’s but took a leap of faith and built a new EVE rig using an AMD A10-7850k with built in graphics. Eve is running smoothly at 1080p with settings on high. FPS is averaging in the 60’s. Not tested it in any big fleet fights though.

The AMD A8's and above are quite nice for the price. I use one for an over-powered media server. Stick an SSD in there and they really fly. They will be even better when AMD figures out how to lower the TDP.

^^ this is why I've stuck with Intel for the last 8 years.

OP: Will you link the full specs for the rest of us that are curious what worked for you?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116945 <-- According to reviewers, this is a cheaper and better direction to go in.

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

Another cool thing about these is if you add the right Radeon™ video card, it will combine with the video processors on the APU.

AMD Radeon™ Dual Graphics

The AMD Vision system is vastly different from the Intel lolPUs we commonly associate with integrated graphics. Think of it as a dual/quad/etc core CPU with one/two cores being relegated to GPU use.

My AMD A10 laptop plays EvE perfectly.

I would not recommend this for an all out gaming machine, but perfect for me. Plays EVE and WOT at 1080p with no trouble at all. Near silent at all times. Windows feels snappier but that could be the new memory.

I sure hope that's win 8.1 x64 and not x32, otherwise half of your 8GB of RAM is being used as a space heater.

Otherwise, a nice little build and it was likely quite inexpensive too.

Typo Fixed :-)

the A10-7850k is overpriced in my opinion. I could have gone for an athlon/pentium and 750Ti for similar money but wanted to go without a discrete GPU.

Yikes at $185, I guess so. I paid $88 for the A8 last year and $55 for the MB when it was on sale. You bought the fast RAM too, so you paid a bit extra but it's definitely worth it when using an APU.
