Yeap, Ishtar has got the perfect combination of dps and mobility for null sec ratting. You could also use a T3 but personally I'd go with an Ishtar.

Do you live there?

If not, you'll need something covert.

Things are only impossible until they are not.

Probably not, tbh.

An Ishtar is great. Domi is also fine, especially if you're a resident.

If you want to go for something more exotic, a blaster Astarte would do reasonably well, but seriously, just go for the drone boats.

Since the Op already has Gallente skills, training up Angel ships is an obvious progression route: nothing murders Angels as efficiently as a Mach.

Stealth Bomber. Might not be the best for Ratting, but it will give you extra cover for getting through those gate camps.

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

Carrier. At least sentry ratting in carriers until the drone nerf...post patch fighter ratting supers will be decent isk/hr.
Furthermore Machs do well in angel space.

+1 on the afk-Ishtar. Particularly if you are a resident. Even if you are day tripping MWD/cloak ishy can get around fairly safe.

Just don't forget that in some cases well trained heavies will out perform sentries in anoms.

time spent travelling between ships is time wasted. I've used the Ogre-tar a LOT in 6/10's -> 10/10's... sentries ability to apply damage instantly save a lot of time while you small-gun the frigates.

When using the 100mn afk ish the rats stay balled up nicely while orbiting the anoms at 25km. Also with the MWD bonus your heavies with HAC V are plenty fast enough that travel time in F-hubs is trivial. Heck they are much faster than the elite frig spawns.

doing a plex and an anomaly are 2 different things. When you use Heavy drones in an anomaly where rats usually spawn at 1 location, heavies don't have to travel much. You do orbit the center of anomaly, so the rats that normally chase you don't get far from their spawn location, because it turns out they orbit it like you do. As for the fact that heavy drones have to travel to npcs, they also do more damage, and kill in different order (from frigs to battleships) which is a problem for sentry setup.
