Clearly you're not grasping the greater game-scape if that's all you sit around and wait for. No "power-levelling" here... but there's always the option to find a toon in the "Character Bazaar".

EVE staying casual. Doesn't look like it will though.

But I'll wait and see, how the industry changes work out until the end of this year.

10 more years? I like the improvements and fixes (like the drone things) for large fleet fights and I would like to see more quality of life things in 0.0 in regards to manufacturing locally and not needing highsec as much.

It has always been. Much more than WoW ever was. But those niches have kept disappearing one by one. A few have been replaced by other game mechanics. Some new ones popped up, but overall more have disappeared and the new mechanics are not to everybodys liking.

Now it is adapt or...

Over the year I will reevaluate my EVE. If you don't read me anymore by feb next year, you'll know my decision Smile

I guess I mustve missed the casual parts of the game while I was chilling in my ship cloaked doing not much but listening to some sweet Floyd and "eating a sandwich"

Defiance

The tv series which also has a game based on it had players in the game direct the outcome of an episode by their actions in the game.

Making it so I can anchor a POS anywhere and greatly simplifying the UI (as well as) some kind of team based industry function?

Please, tell me what changes are making it impossible for you to casually play. From what I see, this will make me change training direction of one of my toons to go back to industry. Something I have hated because of how tedius everything is.

Let's go a little deeper here: If I'm lazy (or casual, no dig, but it sometimes has similar consequences), I don't ever have to look for an un-occupied manufacturing facility - I just get to pick one and pay more in taxes. From what I can tell the accessability will be much better for all parts of industry.

What it sounds like you're complaining about is that the NPC station you've lived at in the middle of nowhere will now not be the optimal research, production, and refining facility it once was.

Now CCP - onto NPC corps!

Not reading the forums..The more I read general the more my interest in the game wanes. Other than that, the further erosion of hi sec to appease nullbears will end it for me.

This would make me quit faster. Instant gratification is a one-way ticket to getting tired of the game as fast as possible. EVE thrives largely on its delayed gratification element.

What will keep me here for the next ten years is:
1.) new content coming out every once in a while like it has been
2.) problems, bugs, and balance issues getting fixed if and when they happen
3.) my budget doesn't ever run out

Even without new content, the game doesn't get stale very quickly. Just the same, I mostly lurk these days and don't really come online a whole lot anymore. But I'm still happily subscribed and that's what matters to CCP. I mostly play other games but I don't pay much money into them usually, since most of them only hold my interest briefly. I don't like to flit about to new games every few months, but unfortunately hardly anything out there has the long lasting appeal that EVE has. I don't think I'll be putting this game down for good any time soon.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Frostys Virpio: "We have to give it to him that he does put more effort than the vast majority in his idea but damn does it sometime come out of nowhere."

Id play in ten years but the game will be gone by then.

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.

As a 10 year vet, there really is not much that would keep me here for 10 years that has not kept me here the first 10.

There is no other game like eve, even that game that people are drooling over *cough*Star Citizen*cough* that is trying to be eve, but is not really, would draw me away for long.

I tend to go through waves, I will get a huge wind, get excited and fouced on eve for a year, then it dies and usually its my eve buds that make log in till I get the next wind. And a wind can be anything, I can list a few

1) mining (got me hooked)

2) running my own corp (was bored in CLS)

3) becoming an EvE Radio DJ (I was DJ Reaper like 8 years ago)

4) Running an alliance (the planning and build up and the actual alliance got me into it)

5) Partnering with IAC

6) The first 49-u war with IAC vs. Fix

7) My alliance at the time owning a station.

8) Apocacryto (WH's)

9) Second alliance incarnation

10) took a year off to have a kid, well my wife did, what got me hooked was IAC reforming

11) IAC breaking a part, I rebuilt my corp

12) back to WH's

13) a Corp theift.

There is no other game like eve, anywhere. No game where I can say 'hey bud, come play with me... oh no i'm not on a different server lol eve only has one server." instead of "Hey bud come play with me.. whats that? You are on orion? Crap you need to come to Saturn, yea that's the server I am on' No other game where I can talk to Asian farmers one day, Russians the next, French the next, and then yell at my English corp the next.

No other game where I don't have to grind to 'lvl up'

No other game with a completely open market and world. Crap I picked the race and class... i'm screwed.

Al these things, and more is what keeps me here. My wife has called EvE my mistress in the past, and she is right, I absolutely ******* love this game.

I'd like to see: more space, pos' being fixed, sov being fixed, and WiS actually doing stuff. More Dust and eve interaction Valk integration, and PI being more then a click fest. But honestly, and sadly, eves flaws is one of the reasons I love this place so much.

If you are talking about the industry changes, I don't see it the same. As I said above, I have been here since 4/1/2004, 10 years. Removing slots is a BOOST. Making it so you have to use your pos is a boost to some and a nerf to others.

I don't see the complaints, it makes no since. Refining redo I welcome, even the loot reprocessing, as imo you should not be mining with guns. They learned that the hard way with the drone regions
