Afternoon all,

So....

I have been looking for some time for a screen recorder for the Mac similar to FRAPs on Windows.

I have tried Quicktime Pro and Snapz Pro X - both of these are fine recording the normal desktop etc but when I maximise Eve to carry on the recording on that all I get is a black screen when watching the recording back.

How can we record game screens?

Pray they make an Open GL mac native client, then we can make movies all day, just like WoW. Until then, your are probably SOL if the 2 you mentioned wouldn't work for you.

GLC or ffmpeg can be compiled with OSX but you need xcode.

I know that ffmpeg work great on OSX but I don't know about is captures capability (I only tested on Linux to do live streaming)

Quick time does offer a " screen recording" feature that can be managed remotely ( via shortcuts) and works fullscreen.

Well apple is doing sand boxing everything on the Mac in Lion, doing screen capturing will more than likely be a thing of the past.
