Level 4 Mission Tempest Sniper or Close Range

Hi all,

I've been running Level 4's in a Standard Raven fitted out with cruise missiles.

I can clear, not blitz, a "normal" mission (bonus window of 2hrs approx) in about 30 mins, if I'm paying attention.

I'm looking to get a Tempest, and I'm looking for fits that I can start training into as I still run Lvl 4's.

I'd like to give both playstyles a go, with long range being my normal playstyle.

I've got pretty decent shield skills, so it's just a matter of getting the ship and guns trained up.

i might be wrong but when u can already fly a raven and u want to run minmatar. i assume u have shields trained and no armor so i would recomand to use the maelstrom.

Jeanne, I have armor skills trained but not as high as my shields.

I've used a Hyperion before and liked the rate of fire from the guns, hence the change over to the Tempest.

I can use the Rokh, but the Tempest looks cooler than the Rokh.

Tempest is not the best level 4 mission ship for Minmatar. Maelstrom does more DPS and has better tank.

If you train Minmatar BS to level V, the Tempest Fleet Issue becomes viable. It has less tank than the Mael but has a smaller sig radius to compensate.

It does about 2% less DPS (with Minmatar BS V) than a Maelstrom, but due to its higher speed and agility missions complete faster

is you want to go with autos i sugest you skip tempest and get a mach falloff bonus is the way to go with autos

I'll stick to the Raven/Rokh for now.

Anyone got a decent Sniper/Close Range fit for a Mach or Tempest Fleet Issue?

with minmatar bs at 5 i would go straight for a vargur

Exactly, it's a gateway while you train up the additional requirements for a Vargur, or run missions to save ISK to buy a Vargur.
