Some of the initial stats that released showed it supporting siege missile launchers, but it looks like it is exclusively a hybrid platform now. What's the background on the change?

I searched "naga missiles" and got no hits. Don't know what to tell you.

Well you see CCP did not wish to fix Torpedos to make them work right in PVP so you got the old Hybird rub off that's normaly only resurved for us Gallente drone pilots.

I'm a Caldari pilot (though I can fly every race's ships from BO down) and I am far form PO'd at CCP's decision. The last thing I would want is another damn missile spammer, I would much prefer a choice without resorting to driving some damn Gayllente tub just so I can use hybrids when I chose.....not matter how good the Talos looks. That doesn't mean I won't fly the Talos but now I'm not forced to.

You mean if they want to **** off MISSILE using pilots. Someone PROPERLY trained in caldari would already have rails trained up, and the old naga was absolutely awful.

It only actually worked in megapulse optimal, which means you would get insta'd by any amarr BS, and destroyed by anything that can hit out to 45km or so (so most ships bigger than a cruiser, and several t2 cruisers as well) while not being able to actually do any decent damage to any of the ships that aren't going to be able to hit you.

Now, the naga is literally the BEST ship in the game at damage projection. It has a somewhat niche role, but being able to spew out 400 DPS at 250 (nearly what you get out of cruises, but without the absurd flight time involved) or 700 at 100km is amazing. It's legitimately useful now, whereas before it was not.

I don't think the OP means the Naga is a bad ship.

He is disapointed in not having the option of a missile ship, this comes back to the Naga due to it´s originial intention to shoot missiles.

And as said before a zillion post have be spend on it. I guess Devs have an idea there is dissapointment and that is comes from the relative new caldari players.

Screw the missiles. No more missile spammers with guaranteed hits. (because no one with half a mind puts defender missiles on their ship).

No one is forcing you to use any of these new T3 BCs. Missile users have access to many quality amarr missile ships already and to a lesser degree minmatar. Yes, you didn't get more options with the latest expansion but you had more options to begin with so it balances out.

Weapons are NOT race exclusive. By your "logic".....

Abitrator, Amarr, drone bonused - Gallente ship.
Sacrilege, Amarr, missile bonused - Caldari ship.
Osprey & Scythe, Caldari & Minmatar, mining bonused - ORE ship.
ALL Stealth Bombers, missile bonused - Caldari ships
ALL Carriers, drone bonused - Gallente ships.

Hell, even the Loki has a missile subsystem and the the Legion has missile AND drone subsystems.
There are MANY examples of other ships but I won't list them all.

And that is incorrect.", I notice you didn't mention that pilots that fly up to BC only are suddenly FORCED to train large hybrids "if they ever wanna use one of those new BC's".....nice going on the double standards there mate

The naga is a caldari ship.
Caldari ships tend to use either missiles, or rails.
I think you'll find that for just about every missile ship that the caldari have, there is a rail counterpart.
You don't NEED to train a new weapon system, you just need to have one that, as a caldari pilot, you should have had anyway.
