I think part of the issue is that gankers are in it because they enjoy what they do.

While some anti-gankers are as well( I know a few guys who just enjoy hunting pirates), a lot of them are doing it because they hate the New Order. As such, they go in there with a lot of anger and bad attitudes. And these guys just reinforce each other.

If they want to fix this, I recommend instituting guidelines similar to what Code has. Keep local clean and don't personally attack anyone.

In my opinion, there are basic reasons on why there is a lack of organization on the side of anti-gankers.

As Voyager Arran/Errant said earlier, the activity of anti-ganking comes with its own set of problems and can sometimes become very boring. That's why people just don't stick to it as a main activity (except for few).
When a small gank fleet wants to create action, nothing prevents them: they can go into action almost anytime as long as they're in Catalysts with a destroyable miner ship as a target. The anti-ganker, however, receives that action. Ganking opportunities are a lot more than the anti ones and some players don't have the patience required by it. The only time when anti-ganking is full of activity is special events like the Caldari Ice interdiction during which there's a near-constant supply of gankological action for an AG.

I personally do enjoy patrolling systems looking for reds in local and choosing a random belt/ice belt and wait for the illegal Catalysts. I love the uncertainty of such PvP situation, the sudden Catalyst spike on D-Scan, the moment of inc., followed by 15 seconds of chaos with the reverb of light neutron blasters accompanied by a sheer ECM sound effect. Even though their target dies, I still enjoy the moment and I feel that it's worth the wait.

Maybe the gameplay of anti-ganking is what fits more the needs of players like me, who prefer to play more casually without getting too much into EVE.


As for dat channel... Its owner is among the finest players I have ever played with, a highsec PvE content creator and a dedicated AG who writes a lot on this subject (he's also among few active players to have a carrier in highsecurity space, which has given birth to an interesting story.

When it was created, the channel was different from what it is today. Certainly your observations were on the recent state of this channel, and not the older state. Despite the efforts of the moderators, a variety of people (ranging from New Order spies to internet bullies, trolls etc) have discovered it .
Towards the end of my main post I had mentioned people who send death threats to gankers, and in your first post, you mention the people who insulted you verbally. I believe those are the same people, or very similar ones.

That channel is no more a well-chosen base for a generalized opinion on every anti-ganker out there.

Got a couple of points I’d like to make about your post.
First of all I make NO claim as to be an ANTI-Ganker. I do NOT want be an ANTI-Ganker. I’d rather be a BUSH NINJA. I want to jump out of the Bushes and murder you and then run away giggling.
Now everyone has a different opinion. If your guys want to play the game where if you destroy everything in EVE you win the game, That’s fine by me. But that’s not how I want to play. Your guys have heaped abuse at me because of my antics. Have I petitioned?? NOPE. Sorry, but I’m playing this game for FUN. Stealing that guy’s 32 shuttles he left in deltole was FUN. I would have given anything to see his face when he warped to his safe spot and found ME there.
You’re saying that this game should be all about Posting Killmails and destroying as much as possible. Now I will agree that’s fun, but it’s not the ONLY reason I play.
Kane, I’ve personally seen you talk crap about ME in the Minerbumping channel. A channel this toon is banned from. Why was I banned? Don’t know. I wasn’t abusive or posted attacks on anyone. But YES I did troll those who trolled me, but I was having fun.
In case people haven’t noticed I’m TRYING to create content. Do you Minerbumping guys want everyone to bow down and fall in line?? Or would you rather have a rebel movement to play against?? Having rebels to fight sounds more FUN to me. If you can’t tell that my blog is tongue in cheek and intended for laughs, you need to find a new sense of humor.
As for the Antiganking channel? Yes, I will agree it gets TOXIC in there at times, but you guys are the reason behind that. You’re targeting NEW players who do NOT know how this game is played. Think about it. They mind their own business and get ganked by someone who comes across as a bully. Then when they find the Anti-ganking channel. OF COURSE they are MAD. No one has tried to teach them HOW this game is played. I see new order alts in there ALL the time being jerks to ppl and offering NO help.
Kane you may be teaching and helping some new players but 99% of CODE are out there ganking the new players and teaching them NOTHING. By the time they FIND the AG channel you almost can’t do anything with them. It’s like herding Cats into a straight line.
Kane…You wonder why ppl are being RUDE to you?? Look at how your playing. You dec a corp then ransom it and your complaining about ppl being rude and you’re having to file petitions because ppl are complaining when you steal their candy????? Stop being so butthurt and have some FUN.

Maybe try switching it up a little bit or you know presenting material that people can learn from instead of attacking everyone and everything with a different ideal to you.

Gorila Vengaza, I do admire your sense of duty to the carebear community, however your inability to post without insulting or attention seeking is your downfall.

I think he meant that anti-gankers post their Catalyst kills without mentioning the miner's loss, which is wrong though. He talks about my online kill statistics but 99% of miners have survived the gank within my sight. (Or maybe he wants to believe that we fail all the time?)
I never post kill reports here and there (except for intel sharing on appropriate channels, AG isn't the only one). and I don't even look at my in game kill reports. After all, the vast majority of them are bot-aspirant Catalysts that I educate through electronics.


As I said previously, by listing his accusations ('rude','poison'), he obviously reacted to those AG-aspirant, gank victim carebears who insult him in that channel. He was not insulted by me, or any anti-ganker that I know.

And your blog... Seriously, I stopped reading after 'Ganking Economics 101'. After that, all I see is photoshopped images of James' face and catalyst hull. Add some dry humor, and always base your statements on proven facts like screenshots from in game. I like the blog idea, you can do better.

I can't be bothered to read the rest of the thread. But just saying nice OP, I don't 100% agree with it, but kudos for an entertaining read.
