You could read the books. I like the history that led to the present events better. Glad Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning got mentioned finally.

Jon Snow is Ned Stark's son in law. It's not a spoiler because they already told you, you just missed it. Tyrells were the poisoners @ the wedding. Again they already told you this if you pay attention. Have a nice day.

Rob Starks wife was being doped by her mother so she couldn't get pregnant by Stark. She's to keep her on the birth control for one year after Rob's death to be sure, locked away in Casterly Rock. Tywin probably was planing on marrying her to Jamie, but that might not work out now (I haven't read dragons yet) Pirate

Let's see...the wildlings eventually join forces with the Crows and Stannis. Melisandre thinks Jon Sneugh is Azor Ahai (chosen of the red god or some such) instead of Stannis.

Tyrion kills Shae.
The Hound dies (probably).
A few cats become knights.
Cersei and Jaime do the nasty next to Joffrey's corpse.

GoT, TPB... tons of shows --- I have not owned a TV since 1998. The last series I watched was Lexx that went out in 2002 (and MST3K before that).

All that intrigue and goings on between these kingdoms, and keeping track of it. I remember I recently got a GoT fan(atic) started on that - good thing I was drunk.

If you people paid as much attention to all this intrigue and goings on in your governments (and relations to who they are doing what to on behalf of whom) the world would not be sliding into tyranny.

What, no swords and monsters and crap in RL? Flying killer robots (that we have in RL) not impressive enough? The real monsters wear suits and pass laws.

Or maybe it's wishful thinking...
