I'm wondering as a newcomer to EVE, if there are events out there that hone peoples' coordination and communication skills outside of the normal corp organized training exercises? I was thinking about an idea that you could do to hone people's EWAR and fleet coordination skills, and have a kind of fun that doesn't always occur in EVE.

So would anyone be interested in a kind of 'scrimmage' match where only EWAR, scanning, and tractoring would be used by one team against another to cooperatively move a jetcan or container from one 'zone' of scrimmage to another. The rules would have to be formalized, but if you could set up a type universal practice of this, I think people's exercising the creative use of fleet EWAR mechanics would generate some creative juices that would result in some fascinating events.

I imagine it being played much like rugby or football/soccer without stoppages except for time between periods. The 'ball' would be dragged via tractor beams from one area to the next, but could be 'intercepted' by jamming or neuting the runner so they would lose their lock on the ball.

This is just a very hastily thought out idea, but I was wondering if anyone else have thought of similar things or would have an interest? Thoughts?

Would there be a specific group of people at CCP to talk to that might be interested in helping incentivise fun like this? Do they do that kind of thing, or would there have to be a certain amount of interest before they would put many resources into anything like this?
