Very nice change. But please consider adding an "Advanced Search" drop-down panel or something for those who won't read this dev blog, or at least a link to this dev blog so that future players can know about this functionality.

"station" indeed seems to be a valid keyword as used in the examples, despite not being included in the full list.

Great. Now take what you did here, and add it to the market search.

Imagine my surprise a few years ago when I discovered that "CPU Upgrades" don't exist in the market, instead they are called "Co-Processor"

Heck, anywhere there is a search bar should get this upgrade. Maybe I don't have to first choose "Solar System" from a drop down menu then type "Jita" when I need a autopilot route. Instead I just type Jita, and if there are sorting/relevance problems I can just type "Jita t:system"

All warfare is based on deception and logistics. Battles and soldiers are secondary priorities.

We have the designs for better visibility and usability, but we could not get it in for this expansion. We will definitely refine this a bit and make it less secret.

very good.

But still no SMA and corp hangar search for wormholes dwellers.

Ups, my bad station is indeed a keyword. Lets see if I can't update the blog and the wiki.

So this is what CCP calls usability? How is this even remotely friendly to new players who don't know about metagroups, categories and item groups? What?

What about adding a search interface similar to the one for the contracts?

Extra search terms and parameters are always nice. But the usability in this implementation is terribad. The way you have to type all the search parameters is seriously going to hinder its usage and there will be a lot of people that don't know you can do this even - not everyone reads the dev-blogs.

As has been mentioned, an advanced search window, or something akin to (read: exactly the same as) the contract search would be much more usable.

And on the same subject - searching inside containers and ship fittings would be useful parameters too. This functionality is available in 3rd party tools (which means the data required is already being exported in the api) and would be a really useful ingame too.

Nice!

And can you consider a box / keyword /whatever "Include content of Containers"

So we are able to search through those 154.396.286.362 Containers we have to sort our stuff?

Thx in advance.

Awesome stuff, I like Cool

Could parts of this keyword feature also be implemented in the Filter in hangars and container windows? Like if you have a container full of loot, you could type in the Filter metalevel:4 for example.

Would also be very usefull if the asset search could search for items inside containers or ship cargohold with keywords like container:true and cargo:true ? I'm asking this cause I find it a bit funny that 3'rd party applications can do that based on the API information, but the in-game search can't (at least the old one couldn't, haven't got around to test this new one yet).

That is sort of the point. The initial change was to simplify the interface. We don't want to clutter our interface with every conceivable search term in an assortment of tick boxes and drop down menus. When most people don't understand half of the options. Yet we want to allow power users to have access to those options. I agree that more can be done to present players with what options are available and we have plans to improve that.
