How much use is a single webber vs Angel Vipers?

I'm very bad with micro handling drones and so when I do Worlds Collide I sometimes end up loosing a drone or two in the second pocket with those two angel vipers.
I was wondering what if I fit a web instead and try shooting them with my guns? (800mm AC) Is the single webber going to slow them down enough for my guns to track?

Personally I carry a flight of light and or medium drones for situations like that. I think even if you do manage to web them you are still going to be hard pressed to hit those ships since they'll be orbiting you and having a high transversal. A Smartbomb also works wonders in this situation but is not advisable to be used in highsec.

Use keyboard shortcuts for drones. Attack is f.
You can customize them too.

Depends on the ship really.

I usually do Worlds in a Domi, for the second pocket its pretty much ignore the spies and shoot everything else first starting with frigs I generally use sentries for the the other groups in the pocket.

If you ignore the spies the are standard agro with proximity triggers.

You can always set your drones passive and agro the vipers' group with guns and (maybe) kill them when they come in, that will keep your more fragile drones from getting owned by proximity agro.

What the above poster said. I do mission in a paladin. I usually ignore them until i have killed off the rest or at least until i get aggro from all of them.

U will always loose at least a drone if u try to ninja them.

Anyway since u r in a mach, u can just kill them all and then zoom to the gate.

If I'm in a mission, why is it inadvisable to use smart bombs? (In hisec)

Try my spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Av6bUJhtOy5qdHhLdFNpd0tFZE5jVkY3V3UxTFlfRnc

Get the NPC data from http://eveinfo.com/npcships/
Couldnt find the specific one but its likely 550m/s speed and 40m sig radius

No, you won't hit them with large guns single webbed. Npc frigs aren't fast, it's mostly about size, especially with angel frigs. If you don't pick them off on approach, leave them to drones.

The last time I checked, drones chew through those two so fast, I never bother and that was a long time ago.Blink
