supply and demand baby. I would guess the demand for the tornado was over estimated thus an over supply was created causing the price to drop below the other tier 3's.

As the OP states something about ME, I'd guess its production cost. So no supply and demand thingy here at work...

Yep not ship prices on jita market ,just mineral prices ,where supply demand is not race specific.
"duct tape is cheaper? " seems like , I m not against that , but why duct tape ships are "better" too??
I mean it is faster and lighter and as durrable as the other ships now cheaper too , hmm matar super alloys are just godlike vs those caldari/gallente can produce :=

That's because we have no furnishing in our ships! Just girders, guns and engines.

hmm i was guessing why selling prices of tornados are lower then other 3s.

hmmm how big diferences are in other ship classes (drake/cane/myrm/harb)?

The Oracle and the Tornado don't have any Nocxium in the mix. Nocxium has been rather high this last year and forms a rather chunky proportion of the end cost of ships which use it.

The Tornado looks a little more susceptible to Isogen prices than other t3 BCs (particularly the Talos which doesn't use any Isogen at all).

EDIT: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=316115#post316115 - this post has mineral weights across the new BCs and for reference includes a Drake and a 'Cane too. The 'Cane is similar, containing as it does, no Nocxium and being a tad more vulnerable to Isogen prices than the Drake.

If you notice, the mineral percentages are exactly the same as tier 2 BCs.

Overall, compared to the April market data CCP released, are heavy on pyerite and mexallon. That explains the spikes those two had yesterday. Everything else is under average.

The Talos and Naga also have above-average amounts of nocxium, and the Tornado of isogen. But the effect of those is diluted and compensated by the other tier 3's.
