Once again CCP has hidden CSM voting. You have to be looking for it to find it and those people looking are going to be voting anyway.

Why is the only advert on the launcher a little 1" by 2" image tucked away in the corner that is part of a slide show?

Why is there no link on the Eve community homepage?

It's as though CCP don't want people voting.

You have to understand, your vote doesn't matter.....

When large Alliances can spent isk to buy alts, all things are possible, including buying the vote.Cool

Requires no effort at all to locate, really. Roll

Yes since my thread was made, CCP have made it more visible. Difficult to understand I know.

Yes, I'm sure having some sort of say in this dumb internet spaceship game is worth spending thousands of dollars on accounts just to vote our representatives in (and then some scrubs who are just the least bad of the other options) when we already have everyone we need to do that.

Not to mention such an action would be easily detectable by CCP and although that would be a momentary influx of income for them they probably wouldn't stand for it (especially since these accounts wouldn't remain subscribed anyway).

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

CCP is a corporation. When corporations wish to appear accessible, and invent things like our dear, sweet CSM, they don't really intend it to be accessible in the same way we define accessible (which you'd find in most dictionaries.) They're defining accessible in the corporate fashion which is "not even close to being within reach."

That being said, when 'selecting' occupants of this thing (for us the CSM) corporations prefer people who won't ask much, and especially who won't demand anything. This can be rather sticky. Opening things like this truly to the general public runs certain risks the corporation would be forced to live with for the duration.

THEREFORE, it is in the interests of the corporation to establish a selection method that ensures "their kind of people" are selected, and once a group is arrived upon, that they continue to be selected...usually under the guise of "doing such a good job." So...do not delude yourself into thinking this CSM has anything to do with YOU.

This organization, as with all like it, has to do with the corporation that devised it, not you...the "customer." I should think by now, having lived in Western Civilization as long as you have you'd have figured this out on your own..by now...

Have a nice day.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

It has been linked on the launcher in the rotating graphics since before the vote went live....

That was such a brilliant response! Seems you don't understand the concept of "who is there to vote for..."
And, people wonder why they have the governments that they do.

Give it time. Give it time.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

The CSM don't actually do anything

They do. They come up with crappy ideas for the sake of justifying their own importance, and then they brag out all the privileged NDA information they have access to so they can further reassure themselves of their own importance. Then they have a meeting where they can share ideas on how to ruin the game, just to prove the CSM isn't irrelevant, and CCP listen, also to prove the CSM isn't irrelevant.

So you're suggesting that CCP have cut people from the ballot that they don't want running, because they might demand stuff?

I think if you know enough about the CSM and their responsibilities, you'll know when the vote is and how to get to it. People that would need a big "VOTE" button all over the launcher would probably be the ones voting at random rather than reading the campaigns and making an informed decision. So maybe it's best it's not so easy.

You have described my voting habits perfectly
