Please give me a reason to login again.

I will probably login, but only to give away my stuff.

I lose a 1.1 billion isk ship because the game disconnected from the servers in the middle of a level 4, the ship doesn't warp out and gets destroyed. I get this ticket...

Yea, I don't understand. The game is designed to warp me out if I get disconnected, but that obviously didn't happen. This is ridiculous.

Why is the total number of "likes received" a poster has inversely proportional to the quality of posts one makes?

It's not instant. What was your shield/armor/hull level before the disconnect? Were you being warp scrambled?

Dude, just roll with the punches.

It happens.

And if you are giving your stuff away, send it to me. Im broke.

Wrong conclusion on your part. The game is not designed that way. If you are warp scrambled you wont dissappear magically if you log off. I guess you noticed the mission is to hard and you are close to lose your ship and disconnected in panic to save your ship - didn't work hm? Hard lesson but i hope you learned something out of it.

Shite happens and 1 bill isn't a tragedy. Just take the loss as a punctual moment of bad luck and move on.

what i mean to say is, 'losing a single ship' is not a reason not to log in, and this thread has the look of 'give my ship back or i unsub'

also gamemasters don't like it when you post private communications

If you can't warp, you can't warp, whether you're connected or not. And with NPC flagging ticking down, you'll certainly stick around long enough to have bad things happen to you. It's kind of the point of the NPC flag, after all.

Also, why wouldn't you log in again? You did it before so what reasons do you have to suddenly stop?

Frankly I'm more concerned about your incompetence of losing a ship worth of 1,1bil in a lvl 4 mission when said missions can be done AFK with in a ship that costs 1/3rd as much.
If you continue on that path you will end on a list for "goon recruitment advertisement" soon enough.

Now if your only joy in EVE is grinding lvl 4's in bling bling ship -> star citizens that way.

This is yet another example of someone who didn't take the time to learn how the game works and is now mad at the game because of their own ignorance. Sadlly, this is all too common among the high sec PVE (except incursion runners) crowd because high sec pve (unlike PVP and PVE outside of high sec) doesn't expose players to real EVE game mechanics until a loss like this happens. At least high sec incursions expose players to some amount of danger that requires learning the mechanics.

If you fly a marauder, have your bastion module set to repeat, do not have a cap stable tank AND then you D/C, you will lose your ship unless you are able to log back in very quickly. The very very simple defense to this is a cap stable tank.

I've DC'd several times in my medium deadspace shield boosted Vargur (cap stable). At one point I remained disconnected for 30 minutes and was able to log back in and my ship was still there tanking the rats in Angel Pirate Invasion. 100 mil for a A pithum C type medium shield booster (or a medium or large C type armor repper on an armor tanked ship) is a small investment to save a billion isk ship.

Put the blame where it belongs, on your ignorance, not the game.

Well Op I completely get your frustration. They are indeed getting the better hand. However in true eve spirit why not wage a war against them. Also before you jackolanters try to say it's impossible, look at what happened to BOB.

I wasn't being warp scrambled. I had killed all the frigs, cruisers, battlecruisers. All that was left was the battleships, my shield-tanked Vargur had around 90% shields when I noticed the game had stopped responding. The ships I was targetting just started playing the targetting sound and animation continuously. As fast as I can, I try to get the game to realize that it had lost connection to the servers, hit quit game, etc.... this is a serious problem. The game takes too long to realize it's disconnected, and in that time, I'm getting shot at. Finally the game realizes it's not connected anymore, so I can start to log back in. Within that time, all the modules on the ship deactivated, leaving me with less of a tank, and finally the bastion module deactivates but not fast enough to warp me out.

So basically CCP says, yea, you cannot insure your ships for what they're worth. SORRY. So go grind that ISK, or buy our PLEXs, but just realize, EVERYTHING is slanted against you. If you get DCed in that ship you grinded for, you might get warped out, you might not. It's a gamble.

We like to say, "You can fit your ship however you want." But you better fit it so that if you get disconnected from our server, it won't die.... when you aren't logged in. Because programming games is hard. YOU HAVE TO FIT YOUR SHIPS TO TANK WHEN YOU ARE DISCONNECTED. LOL. That's funny. What a great game.

EVE ships are insured by Obama care. You get what you cheat for.
