I like to start the days off with a quote to meditate on. These are my own. Feel free to use them as you wish. Also feel free to post yours. I love thought provoking words that are put together to benefit others

1: Fear no person, be just, be true to thy self, never envy, live without treachery in your heart, love purely with sincerity, and do not be affraid to die because death loves us all.

2: If you truly want to offend someone, tell them the truth.

3: It is better to offend someone while being yourself than to offend yourself while acting as a lie.

4: It takes thousands of dead soldiers (or ships) to train a general.

5: You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. No you can't, but you can shoot it, eat it, and live to fight another day.

6: Do not look to the "leadership" for advice in the middle of a fight they are not in. Look within yourselves for the right answers.

7: Real leaders lead from the front, not the rear.

8: None benefit from sugar coating the truth.

9: Do not look for the answers to problems at the bottom of the bottle. The bottom of the bottle is weak and will break.

10: They say "Keep your freinds close and your enemies closer" I say keep your weapon close and your greanades closer. Take as many as you can, and then when over ran pull the pin and hug it.

11: In a fire fight, there is nothing wrong with picking through the dead for more ammunition.

12: Death: When death comes knocking for you, do not fear him. Do not run and hide. Invite him in and treat him as a guest. You may defeat all of your foes in life, but death you treat as your freind. With death begins a new journey.

You can live to be a hundred, if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred.

The difference in leadership and managment:

Managers: Say they are in charge and you have to show them respect.

Leaders: Are in charge, and the people give them respect.

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law, if it acquires the political power to do so.

When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "this you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know", the end result is tyranny and oppression no matter how holy the motives.

You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once.

One man's theology is another man's belly laugh.

I never learned from a man who agreed with me.

-- Robert A. Heinlein
