I like to keep in mind that the channel 'The Summit' is fully player run and CCP doesn't intervene in player channels anymore(after people complaining CCP did intervene before, oh the irony)

They even opened multiple CCP supported channels to go around this issue, to allow CCP folks to still mingle with players in a more official capacity, without being accused of 'favoritism' (CCP folks can still join player run channels just for a fun chat,)

If you want this complain to be serious, it should have happened in the 'Intergalactic Summit' or it's ooc channel 'Out of Character' these are official CCP sanctioned channels where CCP WILL take action if you break the channel rules.

In the meantime, I believe it would have been more fruitful if you took this complains to the Backstage forum, where it would had more effect and seen a more 'official response' from the players moderating 'The Summit'

Edit: you do mention that most complains are focused on one instigator and one mod in the channel. The 'player recieved a ban and mod apparantly escaped punishment'. This phrase shows an issue, you have no knowledge if the mod escaped punishment or not. Publicly saying a mod receieves punishment doesn't go well anywhere. And frankly it can be he's receieved his punishment, just on a different level ( banning a mod termporary is useless & silly, doesn't do anything, however letting said mod know he may no longer take decisions without asking another moderator first would be a just punishment, just not one apparant to non-moderators)

For the clarification of everyone else replying, the OP is not complaining about a GM. "Summit" is a player-run RP channel, and thus the OP is complaining that a player moderating said channel took actions that they found to be inappropriate.
So uh... bummer? The fact that it's a player run channel makes your whole comparison to ~business~ and so forth fall flat. And with the clarification of what this is actually about I very much doubt you'll find many people who care.
e: Beaten on clarification, rest of the point stands though.
Despite your air of authoritative self-importance, and even with your attempt at elucidation, the relevance of the OP to this particular forum is ZERO. ZIP. NADA. Player-run channel. Player running channel offends player using channel - draws a large "So what?" with a sprinkling of "who cares?" Obviously those involved do, however, these do not reach the elevation of being relevant to this forum and its users.

The OP wins a whopping two Yawns. yawn yawn

Usually the two stay separate. But today I suppose it decided to leak on to GD. Which all in all is probably the worst place to put it.

When you don't get paid suddenly it turns out the customer is pretty much never right and just shut up about professionalism in a channel where people go to pretend they're in space.

Open Letter to New Eden Roleplayers:

You guys are so cute. You go to your little "ROLEPLAY ONLY RARR!" channels and do your litle plays. Except for whatever reason or reasons you don't realize that ALL of EVE is Roleplay. From the butthurt carebear to the bloodthirsty PVPer to the bloggers, we're all RPers in EVE. From Gevlon to Mittens to James 315, we're all playing out our roles.

And while some of us might argue over exactly how alts function in a Roleplay setting--some seeing them only as alternate characters, others deciding to play each of their alts separately--others using alts to spy, awox, steal, just for lulz, hi sec Lvl 4 Runner, Trader, etc--we're all playing our role.

So before you get all butthurt about words typed out in a chat channel, just remember that we're all in this together, whether you write a blog about a PVPer that brings a pony in his ship with him, you run a successful Hi Security Cult, you run one of many Null Security Cults, or you spit on all the other cults and worship at the altar of Bob--we're all in this together.

We're all goddamn hippy Roleplayers.

Some of us just took the pill and realize just how far the rabbit hole goes. The others took the other pill and are running around their lives unaware.

So please, get over yourself.

If you are then I am too, because for a moment I thought that this was about something important.

Instead we can all kick back, relax and gave a good laugh at the OP.
