Diablo 3, a failure of a game that Blizzard are desperately trying to backpedal with. They need every GB to reverse their terrible design decisions.
What is the install size of D3 anyway?

Why would anyone want to use Diablo 3 as an example of how to design and support games?

Oh, very much this.

I waited so very long for a sequel to Diablo 2, I bought it on launch day, and although I tried hard to like D3, I quit a few weeks later. The game was literally unplayable.

Not your average 1.2 GBs of... content.

Path of Exile. As a bonus, it's free. I hear D3 is playable now with the expansion but I payed $60 for the release of D3, another $40 just to make the game playable seems like a horrible waste to me, especially when PoE does it so much better imo.

LOL! Go check out the D3 forums for how well received that 10GB pile of steaming dog turd was that people paid 40 to 80 dollars for.

Hint: page after page of nothing but hate. If D3 was an MMO everyone would log in and shoot Cain's house.

Blizzard's idea of 'expansion' is to make all previous content obsolete and replace it with the exact same content just with different colours and bigger numbers.

You forgot "steadily more childish". They've even ripped off the plot of Back to the Future with this next one.

Yeah that's about how much the last 5 EVE expansions took in total when you add in the point releases as well. Probably a bit more actually... I wonder if I can check?

CCP released their content incrementally; Blizzard made their customers wait two years for stuff that was finished in 2012. Why do you prefer the Blizzard model?

Are you telling me that BTTF is childish?

also i know i posted this is the last thread but

eve needs balances and overhauls/reworks of current features far more than it needs a new race, land or power set, but it seems people don't think an expansion is 'big enough' without pandas in it?

To be fair, the Power Up! expansion to King of Tokyo was pretty great, and it came with a panda. Big smile

FOOLS!

Do you not see what OP is on about!? This isn't about "expanding EVE", this is about expanding the drive space need of bloatware with empty bits.

All posts and mails screencapped and time stamped, including out of EVE, you will not reverse on me.

Might come in handy!

Yay! I know, let's spend six months to a year making content that the playerbase blows through in a week. Then they can spend the next 5 1/2 months demanding more content and calling the devs a bunch of lazy bastards.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.
