so export of p1 mats went to 50isk a unit from like almost nothing

If you look at the market it's already gone up about 50 or so isk a unit

a simple p2 mat like Rocket fuel has gone up 2k isk a unit.

just for fun was looking at how this would impact something simple like inferno rage torpedo's

at 2k is needing 434 to make (on an invented BPC) this equates to about 137 isk per unit of inferno torpedo's or roughly a 20% increase in the cost..

I'm glad this idea was thought through and not presented to the public and then rolled out within 2 weeks. oh wait

yes.. because going to lowsec is magically going to change the PI costs.

Oh wait.. that means that the people who have POCO's are going to want to recover the cost of their 100m investment by charging non blue's at LEAST 20% IE 10% more then highsec.

Not to mention charging blues at least something to recover the costs. a 1% charge is still more isk then what was charged prior to this patch

Also it turns PI from an everyone can do it (by themselves) and turns it into you MUST do it in a corp/alliance.

Besides the lowsec planets aren't that much better then highsec. More like go to 0.0 or WH space.

At which point the RISK alone and the ease of destroying a 100m isk, 0 defense structure will keep the costs to equal whatever high sec does anyways

For me the effect is quite dramatic. I'm going to be pretty busy in RL for the next few months so trained up some research & PI alts (5 in total) to research and copy capital and cap component BPO's. Also, I wanted to run some factory PI in highsec.

The problem for me now is that the POS fuel will cost so much I will struggle to make any profit on the research and it's not worth doing PI due to HI-sec being pretty much forced out of the market for tax reasons.

As this is the case, I'll not be resubbing until I'm ready to play properly again. Considering the limitations of SC's (not being able to dock) and the volatile nature of EVE, I'll also sell my Nyx and probably my Nyx pilot as well. So when I (assuming I don't find something else more productive......) do come back they'll be at least 1 less subscription.

I wrote this really awesome rebuttal post but it didn't get posted for some reason. What?

Suffice to say if you can't figure out how to make serious money of this change it's your own fault, it's right there for the taking.
