Hi thank you for the message with the info i asked for i understand this is a risk and i will give you all the info you need, i asked for a message to explain due to my own customers confidentiality as he may not want his work publicly announced before the job is finished. hope you can appreciate this.

what i do is offer webdesign and graphic design services for corporations and indivuals in eve with payment via isk or plex.

the job i am currently doing is a website which has been charged at 30 plex, 15 of these have already been paid to me and cashed in so i hold 12.5billion isk at the moment, the rest of the plexes will be transferred once the job is complete which may take around a week more worth of work, the site is around 50% complete at the moment.

the reason i cannot use the isk i hold is because i am 6bil short of buying a new character (total 18bil needed). this may flag up alarm bells that i am buying a new character but i will still hold this character as this character is the face of my business and will not want the business affected as its my main source of isk and has paid me a substantial amount of isk in the past few months.

collateral is an issue as im only at 6.5mil sp, which is another reason why im buying a new better char. i only hold around a bil worth of assets which is not enough to compensate for 6bil worth of a loan.

my game plan is not investing this isk its simply to buy a new character till the plexes are sent over to me for the site, i cant see this job falling through the customer advises me he has enough plex and has paid me 50% already and i have been doing this job for 10 years so nothing will go wrong from my end, if something was to happen i will sell either one of my characters to pay back the loan.

you can have an api key to check my transactions from various people who have been more than happy with the work i have done for them and also if you require skype conversations regarding the correspondence with my customer.

interest rate is in your hands, im no banker and whoever gives the loan should advise of the interest, im looking for a 30 day loan as this gives me more than enough time to finish the site and compensate for any issues should they occur, i aim to pay it off before the due date. basically on interest i would be willing to go as high as 10% but again thats your field so id be looking for advice from you on that matter.

thank again for getting in touch and hope you can appreciate why i prefer this to be done via mail, im not trying to waste anyones time like a few have implied and i understand if you say no.

Thanks again

6B Loan

Hi
I'm looking at your request for a loan and could potentially fill that, but I would need to know a few things, with as much detail as possible:
1. I understand you don't have all the collateral, but would you provide any collateral or would it be zero (this may affect the interest rate is all)?
2. What interest rate were you aimign for (ballpark)?
3. What would be the loan term?
4. What keeps you from using the isk you currenly have available?
5. What is you game plan for turning the 6B into enough to cover the repayment of the loan and interest?
6. If you were to fail your plan, what would you be likely to do? Extend the term, liquidate assets/PLEX, or default being the usual 3 options here.
7. Would you be willing to provide an API key (depending on what your plan is. Sometimes it's good for us to monitor investments).

Thanks
XXX

does that make you feel a little better? i dont need the isk as the character was sold so i can now wait, didnt see the point posting this to be a 36page thread with questions from 12 different people, private mail is more suitable

You should have just explained this to begin with man! Would have been much easier to either sort something out with someone or let you know it wouldn't be possible. Peace out.

Sounds to me this could all have been easily avoided without breaching any confidential information.

Something as simple as stating you want the loan to purchase a new char, you are awaiting a project completion payment of 12bn within the next 14 days so looking for a 30 day loan to ensure everything completes.

Potential investors would of ask for a limited API to prove you have cash flow to back this up.

Job done.

maybe so but the request for any conversations between my client and myself would have been via pm along with my api so i cant see am issue with just doing the whole lot via pm, sorry if its not the way you do things i thought it would have been better for me, it singles out the trolls from the real business people and flooding a thread with dozens of differnt questions and troll attempts which just disrupt any real business

and besides if i posted the info you just said then i cant see that as enough info to warrant a 6bil loan, there would need to be project details links to the project along with conversation history etc which i tried my best to supply i just didnt want that info displayed on here im not after crowd funding i am after a single loan from 1 person just a simple process where i only have to pay 1 person a set amount of isk where they explain what they require from me.

allbeit i had no collateral but i was asking for an honest loan with solid intentions of paying back whatever was required, im not here to scam anyone

again i apologize im no business person

There are a bunch of good reasons for expecting everything to be negotiated in the light of day. I'll just mention two:

1) Making an uncollateralised loan is a huge risk. This risk can be mitigated somewhat by taking a communal approach to the analysis and assessment of an offering. Ten people scrutinising an offer are far more likely to identify genuine issues with it than is one individual. Demanding that everything be negotiated and discussed off the forum thus often seems like an attempt to evade the public scrutiny the forum can bring to bear.

2) MD has a long history of scammers taking advantage of off-forum arrangements. Think about this scenario: person 1 mails you and asks for details, you explain to him your plan and convince him of its viability so he agrees to lend you the 6bil you have asked for and sends you the cash. At the same time you are also having the same conversations with persons 2 and 3, who don't know either that you have already struck a deal with person 1 or that you are negotiating with anyone else. You convince both of them and take 6bil from each. Congratulations - you have scammed 18bil from your 6bil offering. This has happened a number of times in the past and is only possible if things are arranged privately off the forum.
