Micro Jump unit structure

I have a few qualms with the deployable micro jump unit:

1. Why can't it jump you even while someone's scramming you? I thought the item was going to jump you, not use your warp drive. I understand why the microjump module has this problem, but why the structure?

2. Why can't we scoop it up back into our cargo hold? That's an effective waste of money if you can't pick it back up again, especially if that use can't help you escape warp scrams.

From the description, I figured that when you deploy it, if you stay within the sphere of influence when it comes online, like it or not, any ship nearby will be launched in the direction they are facing whether they liked it or not.

Even if it's not changed to what I thought it was going to be(which I admit didn't make much sense) why does it have those two problems still? I personally can't see a purpose for it if it can't get you away from hostiles in a pinch.

1) Because when you're warp scrambled you're supposed to be stuck. No warping, no jumping to a cyno, no MJD. Why should the deployable work any differently?

2) Working as intended.

3) You have to activate it with your own ship otherwise it does nothing. You thought wrong when reading the description.

Getting around a battlefield where bubbles would normally prevent that.
Catching up with tackle in slow brawlers.
Running from non scram users.
Bluffing.
Panic scrambling in such a way that only one person can be followed atmost.
Bubble escape.
Other stuff.

The "mighty fountain of wisdom"? has apparently spoken through the souls of others. 8P

But yes, what the above 2 posters mentioned.

Still seems like a waste of money if they can't be picked up

Then don't use it.

Edit: PS, but you probably won't like the mobile cyno inhibitor either.

Seems like someone is upset because:

A - didn't fully understand the mechanics

B: can't think of proper way to use it

It works just like a MJD except non-BS ships can use it

I, too, enjoy using the Micro Jump Drive Array in conjunction with my Freighter while carrying 400b ISK worth of PLEX.

Oh wait, none of that is true. Too bad, but they are pretty fun and they can potentially save you if things go very wrong - providing you act before it's too late.

I don't. Rather use an interdictor or something practical.

Because an interdictor can prevent an enemy fleet from cynoing on top of you....

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.
