I always use EFT to tell me such things. Also ingame is bugged when calculating optimal atleast when using omnis.

I dont even know how to calculate it myself so lets hope someone else have answers to that

Its not normal situation that one needs to use out of game, fan made tools to see details on he's guns, what sentries basically are.

Indeed this is a sad but true situation, trying to determine drone stats in-game reliably is basically impossible. The only way is to calculate it yourself (quite cumbersome because you have to factor in stacking penalties as well as your own skills) or to use a third-party fitting program such as EFT or Pyfa. These programs are pretty much essential for Eve players to test out fits without actually buying the items as would be required in-game. Until CCP develops a reliable in-game fitting tool there is really no alternative to downloading a third party fitting tool.

It's one of those "yup, welcome to EVE" things where we all go "really?", then shrug it off and use an out of game solution.

Would be nice if game developers fixed existing mechanics, that are crucial in pvp, instead of making new bugged ones.

Does it no longer show (reasonably) correctly on drones in bay?

Drones in space don't show skills or module effects but they are a slightly odd case - if you show info on someone else's ship you get the base stats (uneffected by skills or module effects) and perhaps it is simply that, for drones in space, it's difficult for the game to tell who a drone in space belongs to (and therefore who should get what information) and it's easier just to list the base stats for all of them.

It don't show changes with different scripts. So I'm left with approximate calculations or I'm supposed to alt tab to eft to check my stats, this is not normal.

You can also find your drone range by attempting to send your drones to attack something that's very far away. A message comes up on the screen saying that the target is beyond your drone's control range of XXXX km.

Thanks this has been most helpful.

On the upside - range of drones is not something that changes terribly much (even with scripts) so once you know, you know.

I've noticed a lot of changes to drones (been away for a while) one thing I've not yet been able to confirm: Is the range of the drone still calculated from the position your ship (as opposed to the position of the drone?)

Please explain how a display error which you will never check in live combat and is prominent knowledge on the first 10 pages of google is a "crucial pvp" problem.

Thanks for asking this. I was wondering it myself. I was thinking "It couldn't possibly be that there is no in game way for me to see my Drone's stats. That would be stupid."

It would be nice if this gets changed along with the drone stats this summer. A new drone UI would be sweet too.

Yes. Because they haven't spent the last year looking at our ships, modules, and now industry to give it a much needed overhaul.

While I agree with you - they haven't realeased much new in the last year and a half (two years?) because they are rebalancing and fixing as much as they can.

So, you're telling me that you fit your ships out (rigs and all) in game to see how they do rather than take advantage of software (yes outside the game) that would allow you to see your DPS / Tank / Cap-life / Drone Control in greater detail before wasting the money on the in game market? There is no 'theoretical' ship fitter in EvE (which makes sense), so we do our effective hit point warrioring in a separate program and bring it back to the game.

I dno't see what's so strange about that. When I played secret world online a couple of weeks ago I had a wiki to walk me through some of the missions/stories - Should that also have been in game?
