i wonder if someone can help me?
i love playing eve, but i have a very bad short term memory hence i struggle to do stuff, making isk is a nightmare for me :( my goal is to master this game and make myself 10 billion isk and hopefully get some pretty cool ships along the way tengu, loki, machariel etc.
can anyone offer me any tips to master this game with the problem i have, i must have 500 links related to eve in my browser, i do more reading than playing and wish to turn that round and do more playing of eve, when i am not in school.

thanks

Master EvE?
Sorry to say this but I think you have more chances of becoming a president.

With that said, start small, starting ''big'' will only lead to failures. Go with frigates, anything bigger than this and your mistakes will be expensive
Have you tried many of the ''career' choices? You must try them all, you will eventually find something you like.

If you really can't find anything, you can at least say you tried. Some people can't even get past the tutorial Big smile

Incursions make 150-200M an hour. 50-67 hours of it and you've accomplished your eve goal. Cap escalations probably pull in a lot more but I don't know the figures

start small while your skills train up- grab an industrial (such as the itreon mark V), or maybe a mining barge like the procurer.

initially, your best bet is to do missions. you can do up to L4 distribution with your racial industrial skill at 1. the procurer can do L3 mining easily enough and can be trained in under 2 weeks of play. these are fairly basic missions with low risk, that require very little direct attention in order to gain standings, ISK, and LP. standings are good for both trade and refining, and LP can be turned into ISK via trade.

now, the best way to make money depends on your style, but also requires a fair amount of skill training to do it. there is combat (requires a ton of ship fitting skills- missions, incursions, combat sites, ect), industry (mine/refine/manufacture/invent), PI, exploration(hacking/relics), trade(buy low/sell high, or buy/haul/sell), scamming (the popular isk doubling), and piracy (outright pvp ganking/theft). pick a style that is FUN for you, and train into it. there is overlap, but each specialty is a different training path.

never risk what you cant afford to lose- this is not just ships, but also buy/sell orders and contracts. mining is the minimum wage of EVE, but its a fairly stable way to make ISK. and as with all things in EVE, teams have more advantages than flying solo. if you can, try to join a corp that does what it is you like to do.

Just wanted to emphasize this bit.
Also making isk and getting fancy ships isn't where mot people have fun in eve. They are the tools by which you have fun.
Step one is exploring the options and finding the bits of eve you find fun.
Step 2 is getting the isk/ ships to enable it.
Most people do this the wrong way round.
