CCP PLEASE: Boost the CPU on the Megathron

The hybrid fixes are fine as far as the weapons are concerned, that's it.

But some of the hulls are still severely gimped as far as fitting options go (CPU specifically)

For example on the megathron. Why do we need to fit a meta 4 damage control, low metal level tackle gear, and a CPU implant in order to fit a standard, PVP fit? Do any of the devs fly Gallente ships? Did you even bother to try to fit one while you were fixing hybrids?

The standard pvp mega fit:
2x1600mm RT plate
2xEANM
2xmagstab
1x DCU (ideally a t2, but no...)

t2 MWD + tackle mods (again ideally t2, but no....)
t2 medium cap booster

7x Neutron Blaster Cannon II
1x H.neut

If any of the devs involved in re balancing can be bothered to try and fit this you will find an irrational lack of CPU on this ship compared to ALL OTHER tier 2 Battleships. Its a ******* joke.

Why can't we, gallente pilots with maxed fitting skills, fit our ships as they are intended without having to go through the pain in the ass that is having to fit the specific meta level mods and the implant?
Why can Winmatar ships have their CPU/PG numbers perfectly add up with the standard, common setups without having to use any of the aforementioned "tricks".

Seriously, go fit it and see for yourselves.

Mind you I'm not asking for an uberpwnmobile, because even with the changes I request any other tier 3 BS will melt a megathron. And yes the other tier 2 would still be very competitive and on the same level, the numbers don't change much. The only thing that changes is our ability to fit this ship without having to pull of magic tricks to fit what other races can without breaking a sweat.

I to would like to request to fit anything I want on any ship without having to check for CPU and Grid.

I would understand if it was the hyperion having this problem. Mega isnt supposed to be the top of the line blaster ship though.

11.25% above max CPU. Your expectations on what a single tier 2 battleship should be able to fit in terms of T2 mods are inflated.

Also note that C-Type Adaptive Nano Platings have almost the same stats asT2 EANMs, are dirt cheap and have vastly lower CPU requirements.

Megathron is the staple of a Gallente buffer + neutron blaster dps dude. It may not be the best but it is the ship-of-the-line if you will.

Moreover, the changes I propose are far from game or balance breaking, seriously, t2 DCU and tackle.

Most armor tanked battleship pvp fits whether active or buffer start with Tech 2 plates/LAR, eanms, DCU, and tackle gear.

Seriously, all this ship needs is about 20 more CPU, 20.

How much CPU have you gained with the weapons rebalance?

add to that the cpu you can gain with even dirtcheap 1% implants.

add to that cheapish faction modules.

And stop. Please just stop.

Have you tried Advanced weapon upgrades V? Or a cpu implant.

Alternatively, tune down from using neutrons into ions.

So that nobody would ever have to try make a fit? Just toss in whatever you like?

The megathron is easy to fit, you can, without a problem, make a sniper out of it as well as a blaster boat. The fitting problems you describe are total fiction. Put in some faction mods, c-types, etc. I've got no problem fitting my megathron and I don't know why you do have.

Have you got AWU 5? Have you got all relelvant fitting skills to 5? If not, then please keep these comments to your self.

Fitting a ship, any ship, should be an exercise in frustrating compromise.

It helps create variety.

This is a valid question that needs answering.
