I once saw a site that had timers for when Ice Belts were due to respawn, but I cannot find it now.

Does anyone know of this site, or any other tool / place that has timers, or people posting when Ice Belts are due to spawn?

Thanks for any help!

No can find.

All I can tell you is that they respawn exactly 4 hours after the last one depleted.

Once, it did spawn 15 minutes late in Gamis, but that's still the only time I personally witnessed that.

My experience has been they come up right after downtime, which is 7:00am for me. That spawn gets mined out very quickly so the timer starts a bit after 8:00 am for me. After that I check around 12:30 and then again at 6:30 pm and finally around midnight. Seems to be like that for every ice system I have been in.

Very true......but only if the previous belt was cleared before downtime.

If even one rock is left, that rock will be there after downtime until someone yanks out a barge to mine it. Then it's a 4 hour wait, so around 11:30 am.

ed: But indeed if nothing is there, then it's an immediate spawn after downtime, as stated above.

If you focus in one system you mine ice from, you will get idea when ice will be spawning +/- 15 min. The only exception when ice respawn get delayed is when the previous one had ganks or bumpers.

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

This isn't true. There is a system near me that has 3 caldari belts and no one mines them at all. We patrol it nonetheless to make sure no one has sneaked in.

Sorry, but ganking and bumping have no effect on this whatsoever. Where on Earth do you even get that idea ??

I'm kinda new, but would like to know if Ice fields plan to get any attention. Has anyone seen mention of any attention in dev blogs or posts?

The reason I ask is that when everything shifted to anomalies, the Strategic Maps data is now way off and it is seems like ice is non-existent in entire regions for large swathes of time. If those time windows are the only times that people can log in to do anything, then they are essentially barred from ice mining.

Why can we not shorten the timer, or put in a few more ice fields in the regions to spread the ice miners out a bit. Many/most(?) regions only have 1-3 fields, so that is where you will find huge corps mining ice for sale (great service, thank you all), but the broke amongst us need to mine our own and that seems very hard to do when the fields are so far between, so few, and so quickly mined out.

The re-spawning ice fields were put in as a response to RMT ice-bot miners. Was a huge problem prior to this, where you would warp into an ice belt and see fleets of bot miners.

I think it would be better if they re-spawned somewhere else, like with WH anomalies.

You're young, you'll adjust. I'm old, I'll get used to it.

There are just as many Ice Belt systems as there were before last June (only 10 months ago) when the Ice Belts were changed to the current form, so they have indeed received "recent" attention.

Only some systems in Amarr Space were removed (i.e. Orva), including Ammatar and Khanid, as Amarr Space is the largest, and, I guess, was generating a disproportionate amount of Ice compared to the other Empire Ice types.

The belts will re-spawn exactly 4 hours after depletion. In all regions, at all security levels.

Since it has not even been a full year since this was revisited and tweaked, I doubt any further changes are in store.

If you just can't find Ice, try moving to a different region. There is plenty out in Derelik.

It still is an issue unfortunately. Some systems belt's are depleted within 1/2 hour by huge fleets of 20 Retrievers all created on the same day blah blah blah. I report them, 3 days later they are gone. Then inevitably there is another swarm for a few days until they are reported.

Nothing has really changed, tbh.

He's saying that many systems, especially ones with steady population, end up having pretty predictable belt timings. However, those timings could be thrown off by heavy ganking or bumping activity which would change the timings for the rest of the day. It would take quite a bit of such activity to change the timings by any sizable amount, but if could certainly screw it up.

Damn where do you live? I haven't seen bot activity like you are describing in quite a while. Glad to hear they are being banned though. I kinda wish CCP would perma ban the IP address the boting was coming from. Not sure how feasible or effective that would be in practice though.
