Zealot, Legion & Harbinger - which to choose in what situations?

Disclaimer: I am too lazy to search for this for once

I got a Harbinger
I got a Legion (with not the best gear. various skills missing to lvl 5; working on it)
I do not have a Zealot (8d training time needed)

Which ship to use in what situations for missions, transport high value items in low sec and incursions of those three?

Please note I do not ask for other ship types nor other race ship types.

Q.T.

Two possibilities exists: Either we are alone in the universeĀ or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.

Harb is great at lvl 3 missions, pretty much useless in lvl 4s. Can do PVP although these days has issues warping around like all the CBC

Zealot can work in fleet pvp in AHAC form and can do solo kiting but it's not really amazing at it (and dangerous to use, you could lose it to a Rifter), it's useless in missions as it has no drones and thus is very vulnerable

Legion is terrible for lvl 4 missions. It can do incursions, some forms of exploration and is pretty much ideal for high sec wars (if you're the aggressor). It can work in a myriad of PVP situations but honestly, it's one of those ships that relies on backup and simply being smarter/more experienced than your targets where with links and lots of backup you hope to run into "look it's just a cruiser, lets kill him" morons.

But the Legion cannot have a MWD and Cloaking device can it? Without burning the cap in seconds? But my Harbinger can have both to insta-warp for hauling in low sec.

Or is it just my skills that prevents me from doing that in the Legion?

Depending on your sub system choices you can have either more cap or less cap as the Harb, still even if it has les it can EASILY do mwd/cloak, you could even fit covert cloak on it so you don't have to use mwd at all. For transporting valuable goods you really should train into a blockade runner tbh.

I have a legion but only for probing with the nullifier and the CovOps config. I don't use it much, and I only bought it with the specific subs because it's pretty.

All posts and mails screencapped and time stamped, including out of EVE, you will not reverse on me.

Might come in handy!

Legion is better at everything basically, it can be configured to do whatever you want.

The only thing it's NOT as good at is MWD fits - the zealot is much faster with an MWD fit. The Harb is nice and cheap though, so if money is an issue, the Harb will do fine.

Legion makes an excellent heavy tackle and or cyno bait as well.

Both not plated the legion is faster...

Use the harby if you think you will lose it. Since you can inshure it.
Use the legion if you think you will win aso you dont lose skillpoints.
Use the zealot if you are going to fly in a fleet with logistics.

Sort of what nim said;

Use the Harby for casual PvP.
Kitchen sink fleets
fairly disposable

Step up ship is the Zealot.
Fly it with focused fleets with Logi, or experienced pilots, hit and run.

When it's time to fly a Legion, you won't need to ask on a forum. You'll just know.

Navy Omen is a pretty good cheaper alternative to the Zealot. The only thing it really doesn't do better, or at least as good as, than the Zealot is RR-Fleets due to it not having Tech 2 resists.

That awkward moment at the Gentlemen's Club when you see your sister on the stage....and you're not sure where to put the money....

Significantly lower gun DPS though - drone aren't necessarily reliable if you aren't brawling.
