I am new to the game by the way, so sorry if this is noob question

The wormhole i am living in usually around 0-2 anomalies.

But i scanned down another wormhole, and i found this many anomalies

Why does that one have so much more?

If a system is empty, unoccupied, it tends to pile up signatures such as anomalies and sites because there is no one there to run them.
Each site or anom lasts for 3 days from the time someone initiates warp to them. If you activate them you have 3 days to run them, after which they expire and de-spawn, to be spawned in a different wormhole system. Without anyone there to initiate warp to them they stay for extended periods of time. This is why your system has so few anoms and the one you found (assuming very low activity in it) has so many.

Pretty much what asay said.
anoms last for 3 days after being initiated too.
therefore your static wormhole is mostly where the isk from running sites come from in whs, not in your home system.

so get better at rolling holes till you find a quiet wormhole full of sigs,
or keep day tripping

The spawns you get can be highly varied also - I've seen times when for weeks on end we've had only 1-2 sites then suddenly have dozens for days.

Really?! There's a fixed number of anomalies in all the wormholes available in EVE? So let's say everybody stop doing anomalies tomorrow, that means that there will be no more spawns in any wormholes? Shocked

Or meaby that mechanic is only for umcompleted anom?

Basically, yea. If nobody activated any anomalies in w-space for a few days, long enough for previously activated ones to expire, you wouldn't get new sites. But you'd still have the ones you weren't running. :)

I thought this was reputed to be constellation based?

In K-Space it is, in w-space, I'm not so sure.

It is more likely region based, as there are only half a dozen wormholes within a wormhole constellation

And the best way to find evidence for this is to check out wormhole stagnation on sisi, if you run sites in a hole they will NEVER respawn

Serious question, does anyone have anything vaguely like proof on this? Like is this how anoms work in Null or something and people are transplanting the idea over to W Space? Cause besides working for CCP and looking at the code, I can't see how you'd ever prove this. It feels very much like an old wives tale.

As far as I know is that they do spawn regional and not constellation.
Looking at the fact, if you take pocession of a entire constellation (a handfull of systems - approx) with your alliance, you can never run out of isk and control the despawns and ratting.

So keep it simple every hole you find with tons of sites, just initiate warp to there to reset them after 3 day's.

I've seen this before and it still confuses me
I've heard so many theories as to why this happens
When I moved into my C4 it had about 25~ signatures, give or take
After about a week it went down to 5 or less. We didn't warp to every single Gas site in there so I'm inclined to think it doesn't have to do with warping to the site, I think that's a different timer.
I feel this has to do with active ships or towers, if not at least something related.

what you guys don't realize, is that we're all horribly mistaken, and that's actually the sleepers arranging battlefleets as they prepare to attack us.
