Eve Radio RL Cash Donation Scam

Eve Radio has potentially been scamming the eve player base for a long while now.

The real life cash donations that they ask for live on air on a monthly basis to be made to the website is arguably not representative of the true cost of the station being able to continue to broadcast.

Despite being active in numerous games, Eve Radio fails to openly declare that they are part of a wider gaming network and do not necessarily rely on the real life cash donations they endeavour to get from the eve community, nor is it as i am led to believe, representative of the tue cost of keeping them on air.

If this were to be true. Where does the excess cash go and into whose wallet?

Scams in Eve you say?

This one potentially involves real life cash.

I was provided with good enough internet radio cross comparison cost information to consider making this allegation.

Outwith a response from Eve Radio it can't be discounted.

I assume if everything is above board then Eve Radio can and would be willing to provide evidence of why they ask the amount of real life cash they do from eve players on a monthly basis to remain on air?

If Eve Radio aren't willing to disclose this breakdown then outwith a legal context which can't be brought here, i'd urge you stop donating until they do - elsewise for all you know you are being scammed.

Hey, they have a person who plans on being on the CSM, who supports erotica1 and hates high sec.
Why not have the goon's support Eve radio? (even though they disavow any contact with erotica after they supposedly turfed him from goons)

I've even heard a rumour that people have been asked to sing live on air.

Can't confirm it myself mind you, but outwith an explanation, it's all very damning.

Eve Radio ask for donations to keep them on air.

Surely the community has a right to see a breakdown or audit or our real life cash that they tell us is needed on a monthly basis?

No? Big smile

No.

If you make a donation the money no longer belongs to you and you have no right to demand an explanation of anything.

If you have concerns, then don't give them any money.

i think i would sing on EvE Radio if they asked me

im no Shirley Bassey but I have been known to hum a few bars of "This is my life"

and for those of you too young to know who she is

She is the only singer to do multiple James Bond opening numbers
She is amazing

Go to you tube and look her up - there is a great version of "This is My Life" a black and white version

Eve Radio DJ's are not above the EULA.

I have asked Eve Radio to give a breakdown of the real life cash amount they ask for to keep the station on air on a monthly basis.

If there is nothing to hide then transparency to appease these requests shouldn't be difficult.

All i have suggested is absent audit, things might not be quite as they seem.

I could also sing "I Who Have Nothing" another classic......

I would prefer doing "This is my life" ... but if push came to shove i could do the other....

I may have hit the sauce pretty heavy tonite as well

That is prima facie evidence of torture, child abuse, cyberbullying and terrorism right there.

Better get onto Ripard Teg about that, so that he can write quality journalism about it.

If Eve Radio are not scamming real life cash then at there end it will be easy to prove of course.

I am only basing off information I have been provided.

Surely an entity who CCP affiliate themselves with via the time codes should have to validate the amount of real life cash they ask for from eve players on a monthly basis to continue doing what they do?

they owe you nothing, if they use the money to pay for drugs and alcohol its their decision. EULA? what the hell has the EULA have to do with a privately owned and ran station? if anything they use the word "EVE" on their name, something that's the result of an agreement outside of the bounds of the EULA. if CCP feels they should revoke it because that private entity is no longer representing their product in a fair way they can obviously revoke it, but it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the EULA.

"CCP hf. has granted permission to Eve-Radio to use EVE Online and associated logos and designs for promotional and information purposes on its website but does not endorse, and is not in any way affiliated with, Eve-Radio. CCP is in no way responsible for the content on or functioning of this website, nor can it be liable for any damage arising from the use of this website. "

and no, you are not owed any transparency, at all. have some personal responsibility on where you donate your money to.

transparency on donations can only be demanded if you are applying to have your donation as a tax deduction, which by the way you cant on this case. that's why charitable organizations don't take random donations, they do it under the umbrella of a particular "goal" for which they vouch for should the IRS ask where the money actually went.

save your energy and Capsuleer outrage for something that actually needs it.

I'm personally of the opinion that if you "donated" money to someone on the internet you've lost all rights to that money and where it goes. Short of giving to known charity organizations, donating to internet people, regardless of what they say they are going to use it for is like giving that obvious junky on the street corner your change for "a meal." Good luck auditing that guy to find out where the money you gave him went.

EULA applies here not donating to Oxfam. If my allegation is correct as the evidence provided to me stands true, then an entity affilaited with CCP is making false pretence to endeavour to make real like cash profit. Have reason to suggest individuals within Eve Radio are falsefying monthly station donation requirements for their own personal financial gratification.
