I think you are wrong. I've had a few miners contact me recently and they are ready to come down. The recent change has made some hi-sec miners saddle up and come down here in order to help fill the gap in minerals. Any change that results in more player coming here must be a good thing. Now it is our job to support these miners and keep them safe.

You underestimate our ability to adapt to any scenario. I might even saddle up a venture and join them.

Can't help but idly wonder whether the high-sec miners were motivated by these changes, or by CODE. Enjoy the new bots..I guess?

You honestly think that people will bot mine in NPC 0.0?

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

The problem is yield amounts in high-sec belts I think.

Profits across the board are going up over time, which means your average miner is rolling with more alts today than ever.

High-sec belts have 400-700k m3 ore, rarely ever more. While that amount itself is enough, it makes mining rather inconvenient. You end up moving around too often, and with how strip miners work you waste a lot of time mining empty asteroids.

so tldr: mining profits only keep pace today with half a dozen alts with you, making high-sec ore belts too small

Hey Everyone.

I am very happy with the progress made so far, it's great that we are developing lots of trust.

We have done some pvp ops that have been a success and it feels like we are taking the fight to our enemy.

I would say that we now have the foundation of a great community, to ensure the survival of Hub Zero we are going to make the area secure.

I will keep you all updated on our progress, thanks for reading and thanks to the Eve online community for giving this venture a serious try.

Best Regards,

Currently I am suffering from a lack of interest in Eve, the issue was the coming heavy nerf to the refining of loot, I wanted to train Scrapmetal to level 5 and realised that I had to train two level 3 skills to 5, which really annoyed me, hell I won;t be finished until 27th May on this rubbish, though I am betting that CCP will make this scrapmetal skill easier for newer players, but decided that I could not afford to risk waiting for that change. So rather than log on and fume over the injustice of this nerf I have been playing another game, not a MMO but a stand alone hack and slay game which is rather beautiful with a lot of very interesting mods. I have now completed the majority of that game so was thinking of logging back into Eve, but some nasty hacker type managed to really damage my wife's computer so have had to spend time on that, almost finished thankfully, so should be able to pay some attention to Eve in the near future, though I am still tempted to finish every damn quest in that other game...

I apologise to my fellow Hub Zero players for my absence, however as we have a loose knit group I did not think that my lack of play time would be a major issue.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Hey Drac,

Hope you're well, Things have been okay while you have been gone. Honestly, it is not the same without you and we are all looking forward to your return.

There has been some small scale pvp and we've had a few good kills. There are quite a few who have not fully set-up down here yet.

Take care and hope to see you soon.

How very interesting.
In general, going to 0.0 is really easy. Even solo. I went there when my Guristas faction standing was starting to drop too low and I figured I should up it before I couldn't run Pirate faction missions. In just a few months, I was running lvl 4 pirate faction missions and selling battleships to regionals. That was five years ago....
Back again. Currently, I'm working on upping my Serpentis faction standing. Again, its just as easy as it was 5 years ago. After about a week, just about ready to start building cruisers.

So, Hub Zero has my interest. I'd love to build stuff for your guys. I'm not certain, but I may already be established in Stain. It seems like Sansha was next on my list for pirate faction standings. Hell, I might even have a jump clone out there. I'll check when I get home tonight and see if I have some stations out there filled with my junk. Send me an in-game email with what stuff you need, and I'll take some blueprints out there and start building.

Hello Xarkon,

Yes, it is interesting. :)

Good to chat with you, I would like Hub Zero to build a relationship with you as you seem very resourceful. I am in the process of organising some PVP operations where we will need ships. I will send you an email asap and we will see what we can sort out.

I can feel your enthusiasm for what you do and it would be great to have you involved in this.

Chat soon.

The Eve mail client is killing me in terms of this, I have a mailing list with all the standings, which I have linked direct to the Alliance, corp or character, so those using the list can just click to pull up their details and in the standings tab set accordingly. However to maintain the links I forward it and it now removes all the text after a certain point, its got to the point where its removing 20% of the entries, which I have to re-enter every time I send a mail.

And don't talk about Eve Gate, I looked at the list in that and only 10% of the names were even showing.

CCP, this is utterly useless!!!

I am not sure how the hell I can do this, I am going to petition CCP to see if its a bug, but its really making it impossible to maintain standings.

EDIT: I petitioned it and it sems that when you auto link a name it adds 100 characters per auto linked text, so that explains it, this means I have to rethink my way of doing this, growing pains indeed.

I'm moving out of Stain. I have a fair amount of minerals and other stuff. Ship hulls I'm selling at very cheap prices if you guys are interested.

So where are we now, well we have a significant number of people who are now blue to Hub Zero, however we still have yet to create a functioning inner group, my absence and Aaron's limited play time has been a major impact on this, so its now a matter of urgency to create a leadership team. We have a meeting arranged to discuss these issues and one of our members has been tasked to arrange this.

Southern Federation (STFU) and -A- have started placing towers in what I would define as deep Stain, obviously they want to keep their major assets away from Catch and LGK is too close to what is likely to be vast hordes of BNI and Test roamers, they have also started taking moons and our Russian/Ukranian allies lost a couple to STFU. So far we have easily dealt with any STFU / HOD roamers, which have been light and ineffective, however when they get together in an organised fashion in terms of tower takedown there is not a lot we can do about it. However this now goes back to using siphons on those POS's, if we cannot use them neither will they...

Unforgiving, I have to laugh at them, first of all one of them is camping TL and another 6Y, it seems to be a statement that we cannot defend against what, people cloaked up AFK in small ships and they loudly pronounced this on a Mobile Depot, TL is a good system, but its often camped, personally I never bother using it, though I do sit in 6Y because that is the HQ of Hub Zero, so to make a point I went ratting in 6Y, there was a Unforgiving camper plus someone from a corp called watch your back or something like that, so I sent out my other account in a cheap ship and ratted for a couple of hours, no reaction from Unforgiving person and the other camper logged off in disgust and I have not seen him since. The logistics of TL is simple they have to jump from 9U6-SV or nearer in their BLOP's and as the next system is of course 4GQ-XQ which is the main base of Stainwagon, I leave you to think about how this works with such a risk adverse group as Unforgiving. With the arrival of BNI and Test in Catch and -A- running to deep Stain, we expect to see waves of BNI/Test roaming into UF-KKH and their environs, it will be interesting to see just how the risk adverse group who proudly proclaim UF-KKH as their space will fare. But thats OK they have shouted out that we cannot defend our space from AFK cloaky people in two systems that we don't use, as I said, the are largely ineffective and bragging about it on a Mobile Depot does not change that fact at all. All I can say is lame, just lame...
