If you are attempting to make a payment to CCP for game subscription or any items, using PayPal, don't.

As a PayPal users for many year, this isn't the case for me. It may have been because you are using an UK bank account for making purchase to CCP operatng in UK. This is understandable. Unfortunately, I am in the US and verifying payment takes longer than people in UK. It is my understanding that UK bank account is more solid than US bank account because they are putting their address on the legal/credit line.

Always instant for me as well (last used for Eve yesterday as it happens), and my PayPal is linked to my credit card not my bank account.

Comment in the OP - PayPal is absolutely a person to person service by the way, I've sent money to friends and family as well as the more usual game subscriptions, online shopping, and eBay.

Really does sound like it's your money source and/or PayPal account. But of course everything is CCPs fault, right...

CCP can process instantly using credit card. I made purchases to CCP using credit card not PayPal and have been instantly process. PayPal is not a solid transaction system for GM handling your PayPal transaction. Never did have a problem with CCP when come to credit card, just PayPal in general doens't seems to be the top priority for CCP at this point.

True. There are your bank, PayPal, and CCP. I made purchase using bank account. My bank account is loaded with money. The payment was sent to CCP using PayPal. It takes 3 days to verify that the payment is real and not a bouncy. CCP wanted more than 3 days because it is dues to fact that their bank iis n UK and naturally takes longer. This isn't what I wanted. I canceled.

However, as I told other forum members, I have purchased CCP services using credit card and have processed instantly. It just doesn't seem to be the case with me using PayPal. My account is in great standing and have made credit worthy purchased. I could says that I was the 1% unlucky one but at least my point still stands.

I am afraid not after using PayPal for many years.

If it was instant, it probably because you are using an UK bank account. This is understandable because verifying your payment to be legit is as legit as your address that you used to use for your UK bank account.

I, on the other hand, operates out of US. Perhaps, that is a factor between you and I.

I added a Questions & Answers because you may have brought up a good point that I didn't think of.

I've used paypal for years, and I'm in the US. Always instant and no problems so far.

As you're from the US, get a pre-paid credit card and use that for purchases through PP, straight on account management or through 3rd party ETC vendors.

You do realize that CCP and Paypal are not the same company right? That just because your payment is delayed doens;t mean its CCP's issue. Another PayPal user here, put another 30 days gametime on with it this morning, cleared instantly.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Nope i live in the Netherlands. Im guessing you live in some sort of 2nd world country with high crime rates and corruption forcing paypal to run additional security checks on all your transactions?

Actually paypal delaying transactions from US customers is quite normal, the US, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia and Russia are countries online scammers frequently operate from so all transactions from people in those countries get delayed as added security.

If and when posts or threads get deleted or locked, I would strongly advice against reposting it as that action in itself is against the forum rules.
That said, problems like these are almost never solved by posting about them on the forum. The best way to handle a case like this is to submit a Support Ticket under the category Billing & Account > Payment Issues & Subscription Costs.

Thread locked.
