So, OP, you are going to nitpick over a few percentages if it's clear that the majority wants it/is fine with it?

If CCP was off by 20% with their stats, the majority still is either neutral or fine with it and only a small percentage hates it. They said in their post their measurement was only "quasi scientific". And as other people have also pointed out one could even go as far as to count the people NOT posting about it on the forums as being at least neutral. So the group of haters are a really small (but really vocal) group.

Remember, in a democratic system - no matter how hard you rage, you still count as only one vote. And this is not even a democratic system, CCP can very well do what they want with their game (at some statues' peril of course Big smile )

I agree with OP, new font is absolutely horribad and looks like freaking MS-DOS, not to mention it makes my chat and Overview occupy roughly 40% more space, for nothing.

I want an option to use the old font, please...

I've never had a problem differentiating between 6&and G, or 0 and O on the old font, you have to be pretty ******* blind to do that, that font was FINE.

Dood srsly. The new font is fine except the decimal points. But really if you dont like the new font then go **** yourself. Go play CoD on a console or something. Never knew there were this many crying ass bitches on a hardcore PvP game. Guess Im just new or something.

I really don't see what makes the new font better.

Somebody tell me OTHER THAN THE 0/O conundrum.

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

1) I really like the new font and it's made my EVE experience undoubtedly much better... but I did some testing yesterday and looks like I'm in a fortunate situation- 100% scaling suits my screen size and resolution, in my use case everything is perfect.

2) scaling to 90% on 24"@1920x1200 simply does not look good. There are several issues, worst is what is probably the source of all "my eyes get sore/tired/burn" -comments, they are real and the fault is EVE:

- the font looks like it's a bitmap font that is scaled to a non-native size, and anti-aliased, making it blurry and actually hurting my eyes. Idk the actual tech behind the font, but problem looks very similar to a bitmap font displayed at wrong size. UI scalings should lock to nearest native font size, and work from there.

- there are several scaling errors in various parts of the UI; words appear in different font sizes (Items list), text is not aligned to baseline, words are not aligned to left.

After this test I fully understand the rage and think people should seriously be more chill about each other and the font. CCP should also look into this technical issue, it is not as simple as different opinions.

Hmmm clearly there must be someone that have made a mistake here. CCP Hekatonkheires stated quite clearly in last nights devblog that CCP was not looking for "l337 kids with ADD" playing EVE. And yet, here we are, apparently.
