At 1080p it looks pretty awful unless you can view it from a good distance then it's only somewhat awful.

If you can run at 4k then it's generally pretty good looking.

I use one 24" pc monitor (one day I will get around to buying a 27" monitor) as I do not have have the intellectual bandwidth to manage more than one screen.

This is not a signature.

Hey,

Just curious, anyone here play eve on a TV instead of a computer screen?

I just got flamed for 'showing off' because of my rig.

Truth is, instead of buying 2x Computer Screen I decided to go with one 55" + 2x 30" flat TV. Bottom line it costed me only 100$ more.

I got great framerate, flat screen now have 'computer mode" you can activate, zero lag, Eve is just incredibly immersive and gorgeous on such a setup. Actually, any game is.

So I was curious, people spent hundreds of dollars in plex, thousand in rig and video card. What screen you plug on such computer?

Q: How many of you DO play on a TV screen?

That is an excellent setup. People whine because they are extremely jealous. I'm sitting on 13 PC's at home, 7 of them very high end running multiple 30 Inch monitors. The jealous can suck it up...

That means that 30" monitors cant use a standard DVI port as they don't have sufficient bandwidth so what tends (tended) to be the case is that a graphics card came with one dual link capable DVI port and one standard DVI port.

Yes and you have to make sure the cable is also rated as Dual Link. A "regular" cable on a Dual Link DVI port won't display anything, just a black screen...

But THIS beats almost any EVE gaming setup, I guess… Shocked

Nah, this seems totally unworkable to use for real...

Right now I play it on a 17" laptop screen. It's an upgrade from the 13" MacBook I used to play it on. One day I'll be able to afford a dual monitor desktop.

Both. I dual-monitor a single client, so I have heaps of space to organise all my intel. My ship, HUD, notification feed and targets are on my left monitor, a 32" LCD television, and various chat windows, overview, people&places combined with fleet, drone window combined with fleet watchlist, dscan window and inventory window persistently open on the right monitor, a 24" ASUS HDMI LCD. It makes frapsing my PVP and cropping the image to cut out secret stuff much easier. All you see in that vid is what I see on my left monitor.

I Thought you were leaving. Have you changed your mind. Good video though.
