Still waiting for OP's offer. I was serious about wanting to buy it.

That moment when you realize the crazy lady with all the cats was right...

the Limited Editions sell out in a matter of a few hours

Because there were only a thousand, or 1,500 or something. Roll

What part of "Limited Edition" eludes you exactly? Lol

We can have quite a few bit more than 1,000 and still have it be 'limited'. What percentage is 1,000 of your current active unique subscribers? Hell, what percentage is it of our record PCU? (65k based on eve-offline.) It's less than 1%. It's less than 0.1% It's a whopping, super-ultra-extra-special-limited 0.015%. Hell, there's even another super limited edition where the art work was signed by the artists. Only the first 500 got those, iirc.

There's a difference between "let's make a limited edition super cool thing for our customers" and "God, I don't know anything, just make a thousand and call it good."

Trolly sarcasm isn't needed. Just admit you grossly underestimated the demand for something like this, explain why, and maybe reassure us that folks that have the misfortune of being being in the wrong time zone when you announce something like this will have something more than a snowflakes chance in hell of getting whatever product it is.

I wanted this. A lot. El cheapo standard edition is cool, but I really wanted to throw more money at you guys for something extra. I appreciate EVE lore. It's the reason I started playing EVE. I also appreciate the effort you guys put into creating, maintaining, and further developing EVE lore.

By the time this was announced when I was sleeping until the time I woke up these were sold out. It shouldn't be "Oh wow! We're so excited these sold out so fast!" The reaction should be "crap, we didn't make enough!"

Suffice it to say it's a tad bit irritating.

CCP I think someone's mad he couldn't get a copy... Why don't you just buy the normal version?

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

A proper limited edition, one that you consider to be of worthwhile value, but also gains value at the same time are normaly limited to under 1000 runs or below. So CCP have done the righteous thing here and upped the limited version to 1500 in total.

Take for instance model railways (railroads to our american cousins) most limited editions are for 504 models of each version. And normally they make for a good purchase as they invariably end up double the price after the fact.
