So I am new to the game, but decided just recently to get myself a second account. The reason for that is simple: I want to pvp and pve. Both PvP and Industry interests me. it seemed logical to use 2 accounts for that so I can train both at the same time.

This character will be my Industry character and I am busy plotting a training plan for him which roughly goes like this:

1. Hauling, but only up to industrial racial level 3. I just want to haul my own things for now. I do like the idea of hauling though so at the end of the plan I intend to continue training this to fly the really good transports. I have finished this section of my training for now, I can fit a decent tank and I can fly a Bestower and fit it with cargohold expanders.

2. Trade skills, but only so I can sell my own goods.

3. Production skills so I can start with basic manufacturing

4. Science skills so I can start research and improving on plans

This is how far I have planned and for the next step I am considering turning this char into a really good Hauler, or maybe branch out into PI and the like.

Except for hauling these careers seems to be fairly low effort, semi-passive incomes which is good, and then the hauling which is a more active career I can follow.

Can anyone give me feedback to say whether the careers really is semi-passive and maybe make other suggestions? I like the idea of getting a passive type income while hauling to make active ISK.

Just need to mention that by PvE I mean Industrial careers and NOT missions or the killing of npc. I am interested in Player run things.

for an indy alt, you might be better off training it on the same account. you plex it for a couple of months and then it's always going to be there without having to pay for it extra every month :)

Step 1 research your market and work out what you will build.
Train research skills and buy /research the bpo you need.
Train production skills whilst the BPO's cook

For moving your stuff you have 2 choices.
Use public courier contracts every day in both directions or buy a frieghter. The bestower will not cut it either because it can't carry the volume or because the value of your stuff will be too high.
My manufacturer can now fly jump frieghters and is training to be a carrier pilot as we speak. Thus a 2nd account. For a limited skill set manufacturing alt then dual account training may be enough, I know my market alt trained for 2-3 months before i stopped dual training.

Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85

You can use.plex to train 2 chars on the same account.

Id train trading skills first then hauling
That wayvyou can still make some profit buying and selling on the market while you wait for your skills to rise
