Turn off PvP in highsec (why? the reason is inside)

Hey all.

New patch is amazing, like the whole game, but the negative side of changes is that...carebears can't play as they wish they could to enjoy this product.
First of all: I fully understand that this is a PVP game and all, that most of You will post "QQ more QQ your tears are yummy" and such kind of stuff but let me tell You WHY (considering whole business approach) turning off PvP in highsec is (or seems to be) a good idea.

Explaination:
I am a carebear in EvE but a PvP player in other games (WoW, Guild Wars, WAR RvR, LoL player also). Why I am not a PvPer in EvE You ask? Well, mainly because PvP means loss and I am a casual player with tons of things to do irl. Unlike in the games I mentioned, because of piracy and pvp one is actually irrevocably loosing assets here and U have to buy a plex or grind missions/rocks to get a new ship/stuff. With a new patch, we can see destroyers and tier 3 bc's camping highsec gates so a typical mission runner can't transport LP items and loot normally. I can't find myself a good way to transport goods. Anyone? Well...farm Caldari Navy LP and buy and sell their LP items @ Jita...that's a great idea. I doubt that once I unlock a Charon, it will be a safe way to transport like 10x Imperial Navy Tachyons to Jita.
Now, look at the market of sci-fi games with ships...do You think what parts of the EVE are "turn offs" for a typical casual player? The loss. Most of use just who would like to play this game are causals: login, have some fun with one ship, have some fun with another, maybe pvp from time to time, that's all.

The thing is, that my position and the way of playing this game i fairly common. Developers really should turn off PvP or do smth, so ppl who like PvE content, can calmly grind and enjoy CCP's product.

That's my point of view.

red frog or other established hauling corps. They get blown up, you still get paid assuming you collateral the load.

scout the route, double wrap the cargo in container in courier.....think outside the box.

Also you average empire camp is not an instalocker type. train the ninjya haulers. Hit warp, hit cloak and you are gone. too hard to train that....train a stealth bomber. Smaller cargo bay, same mechanism applies.

Also eft a max skill freighter. Sheild, mech, hull 5 gives it some nice ehp. Yes it adds time to the train, its gets you nice ehp boosts. Not impossible to kill, but even with these new boats still are a ship best hit with an active war dec. Don't go to jita with a dec, its should live long and prosper.

or that paranoid....orca. Dual tank it. Shield tank in mids, bulkhead/dcu in the lows. Mad ehp to kill. Cargo in corp hangar...most will not hit it. they can't see your cargo. Even better, its doesn't drop even if they are feeling froggy.

It's the risk of losing stuff that make gaining and protecting said stuff all the more important and sweeter.

You fear losing your stuff to gankers? Learn HOW said gankers apply their trade... their tactics, their ships of choice, etc... and then learn to proactive counter it.

You want to transport low volume, high value items? Use a cloaky ship. Covert-ops are good for moving implants and Blockade runners are good for moving slightly heavier stuff.

But what if you can't afford afford the high-end industrials/hauling ships?
- "Double wrap" your items by putting a bunch of items in a container, then courier contract it to your industrial/freighter pilot. Ganker ship scanners can't penetrate the second layer of "protection."
- "Spam Cram" your industrial/freighter by using no containers and putting 10 low-volume crap items for every 1 valuable item you are moving (drop rate is 50% when you're killed, minimizing the odds that something valuable will drop discourages gankers from seeing you as a target). edit2: I should add that this applies to item "stacks" and not actual item "count."
- "Scout" using an alt and/or a friendly pilot to see what is ahead of your cargo ship 1 jump ahead. Watch for ships that are sensor boosted, remote sensor booster, packing artillery/blasters, and/or sitting around a gate at 0 but not moving.
- "Checking the map" is probably the best way to avoid danger in the first place. If you see that there is a lot of "PVP activity" within the last hour in one of the systems on your route, it's probably a good idea to take a slight detour.
edit:
- "The Orca" is one of the safer options to move stuff. No one can see what you have in your corporate, ore, and ship hanger.

bump because its true, i jump clone back and fourth between null and high sec with my corp now being more engaged in null activitys, however i find now that high sec is even less secure then i had once previous thought a few weeks ago. It almost feels as if im safer in null. I actually do less now overall because im too afraid of losing ships that I worked years to get. Corp member got caught in a 10v1 gank just a few hours ago and logged off right after it happened because he was infuriated. I mean i get the whole pvp thing but god damn, the mechanics are so favored towards pvp that alot of what the game is built for is pretty useless when other players are out to get you. How do you immerse yourself in a game where everyone around you is out to get you for ***** and giggles. After a while it loses its fun factor.

It's easy Spawne, space is so vast that effective law enforcement is impossible, so corporations pay for ability to do that. Like Wild West, you know.

And bad guys just do bad things, and prey on defenseless and vulnerable, so ganking is very much believable.
