To be honest. I have no idea when we can get the finished video out. There still remains alot of work to do. First of all we still need to go through and judge each fight seperately. Which, as Daneel describes, is a long process alone. After that we need to figure out which fights are going to make it into the video and it will most likely involve some discussions back and forth. Then we need to figure out who get which prizes.

In addition there is the editing. Video editing can take alot of time so it will likewise be a slow process. I feel that with all the effort people have put into getting great fights, we should put alot of effort into making the video enjoyable to watch. The way we present the fights is vital and it includes many aspects such as:

• Using different playback speeds, so we ensure that it is exciting to watch, but still possible to get all the details.
• Making an interface that gives the needed information about the fight while still looking good and not hiding important parts of the game interface. This is going to be difficult as it will be different people with different game interfaces.
• Comments that makes it easier for the view to understand what happens and why
• Making sure that the video feels connected and is not just fights randomly put together.
• Adding special effects that gives the video a more epic feel while still not taking the focus away from the actual content.

All this will have to come together to make a video that hopefully will be remember as a quality product. Our goal is not only to reach out to people who are interested in solo pvp, but also other eveplayers and maybe even people who don't play eve.



It was not the plan to be honest. All submissions are raw footage and would need some editing to look good. Considering we got over 100 of them it will take alot of time to edit it, which I am not going to do.

For those who Haven't read the rules entirely

After the completion of the contest and posting of the Final cut video ALL video submissions pertaining to the contest are free to be posted. Anyone posting the same video they submitted for the contest before the contest is fully concluded are subject to disqualification.

I too have been waiting impatiently for the final cut, sadly I was unable to submit my own video because my motherboard died. I am hoping that in aftermath of this community event there will be calls for another contest of similar nature.

Until then we should all be patient and allow the judges to do their jobs. My Gratitude to all of you who put this contest together and those that are working on it.

Even though I'm not expecting anything for probably a month, I still can't stop checking this thread everyday. =D

Holy ****,Ive watched some sweet vids today. I even saw a video that made me say..... I DIDNT KNOW THAT WAS ******* POSSIBLE!". This vid compilation is gonna be freaking sweet!

If that doesn't make it into the video, can you tell is what it was?
