Yea I think the new font is horrible.

But for them to lie about the number of folks that don't like it.... or even to spin the numbers to make it sound like majority rules.... That's just not acceptable.

They took something broken, and replaced it with something that is broken in another way.

Why not take the time and do it right? Functional doesn't have to be ugly.

It's CCP's own fault, they've had an 8 year tradition of making things the exact opposite of ugly. And now this? really?

I know some love it, and I know some hate it. Or perhaps it's because they think so little of us that they don't even create a clever lie... that's just insulting, and that's what the rant is truly about. I hate deceptive and devious bullshit. It's just not necessary. It's wrong.

but whatever. I'm glad folks can read the font. I am. I'm glad CCP is doing the whole FiS thing again. but whether it be purposeful or just negligence, they shouldn't spout facts that simply aren't true to support what they've done.

anyway, I'll let everyone else continue this debate, as because as many folks have pointed out, I've gone on long enough about it.

I actually made a list of who liked the font on the first ten pages of the FONT thread OP is referring to. I must be really bored.

I scanned the first ten pages like OP did, and found 46 chars posting in favor of the font with another 8 seemingly disliking the new font for aesthetical reasons but thinking it has better readability.




The OP has three chars on his list that are also on mine, plus JitaAlt666:

Little Delicious
ucntkilme

Maybe someone wants to doublecheck, but I'm sure about the last two without checking again.

So the people in favor are already a majority after those ten pages. If you check later pages, the people in favor become even more. That is, if you manage to scroll over all the posts by the OP. Check page 15 for example, 14 of 20 posts on the page are by the OP

I thought about deleting my original posts.

But in my defense I was counting people that had negative things to say about the font.

Many of the posts could be counted in both lists, as they had both positive and negative things to say about the new font..

but anyway...

I'm on the forums, because looking at the newfont for too long makes me ill.
